You're limited to FIVE anime characters ONLY -- AND -- WHY? You can do all male -- all female -- non-human -- mixed -- whatever. But you're limited to FIVE only. In addition, rank them 1 to 5. 1 being most favorite.

Why do I ask of this? This is just a mental exercise. It may make you think about what kind of person you are. Choose carefully. :P

Haruhi (Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi) -- In the anime world, Haruhi is god! Her directness and brashness allows her the ability to get things done - just the way she wants it. Not even Kyon can stop her.Belldandy (Ah My Goddess) -- The model for the perfect woman - if one such exists. Graceful, gorgeous, compassionate, powerful, and divine. This is who Belldandy is.Sailor Venus (Sailor Moon) -- The hottest blonde character evar! I'm your Venus, I'm your fire! Yet, her bit of history is a bit sad (episode 42); but that doesn't get her down.Chiyo-Dad (Azumanga Daioh) -- A very intimidating cat. Don't mess with him. Also, EAT YOUR TOMATOES! Seriously. Just eat it.Eclair (Kiddy Grade) -- Beauty, Brains, AND Brawn. Despite her troubles, she lives rather carefree. When in trouble, she finds her way out of situations. Now, that's using her talents. Sorry, as the way the old thread stood, it is rather spammy and pointless. Might as well make you people do a bit of extra work. I sure did.

Also, in the event of "spoilers", don't worry about it. Most people don't know what you're talking about -- IF -- they never saw the series yet. If anything, you'll give people a reason to watch a particular series.

Hmm.. Anyways.
It`s hard for me to pick, I like soo many,
but I will just pick a few that stand out right now to me

1. Yoko (Gurren Lagann) - She kicks major ass, and she`s hot. How could you NOT love her?
2. Tamaki Suoh (Ouran High School Host Club) - I have a big crush on Tamaki. I think he is halarious. Although he may be a little selfish and dramatic, he really does care about everyone around him, he is kind and passionate, and hell if I was an anime girl, I would be allll over him.
3. Train Heartnet (Black Cat) - Another one of my crushes. Train is just a misunderstood badass for the mostpart. But he is just so cute when he becomes a sweeper. I love how serious he is when it comes down to business.
4. Yuki Nagato (TMOHS) - I like Yuki because she is just like me. Always caught up reading books, and although I`m not overly shy anymore, I definitely used to be and I love that she doesn`t talk a lot for that reason. She is rational, intelligent, and she really does care about her friends.
5. Hazuki (Moon Phase) - Cute cute cute. And I love her temper and cat ears
 
Yes. I merely upgraded the concept by having people write a little bit more -- instead of just simple 5 anime character lists. On that note, if anyone would like to repeat their own lists, go ahead and browse your old one. Then, add the extra stuff of WHY. Or, heck, change your character lists if you like. New favorites may come about.

1. Yagami Light (Death Note) - Light can remain mostly calm and collected in even the most pressuring environments. He's also completely deluded. He's my favourite for providing one of the most interesting and intelligent characters I've seen.
2. Ginko (Mushishi) - After following Ginkos travels around ancient Japan you end up loving his calm and mellow attitude. He's also witty. And a brilliant voice actor.
3. Suzumiya Haruhi (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) - Funny, eccentric, godly () and I'd hit that qualities push Haruhi to my third.
4. Shinku (Rozen Maiden) - She drinks tea, she's civilised and sophisticated yet has a childish side and snobby.
5. Horo (Spice and Wolf) - Cute, cunning (like a wolf XD), and has a brilliant way of speaking.

Quite the change from before. But then again, so have my tastes in anime.

Here's my old list from the 1st Mar 2007:

1. Black Jack (Black Jack) I like the way Black Jack takes on any medical problem without thinking about his own safety for a moment, and the way he looks shady but has a heart of gold.
2. Ginko (Mushi-Shi): he's so cool the way he helps solve problems with Mushi using only his knowledge of them.
3. Roy Focker (Macross): tan-skinned skirt-chasing ace pilot. what's not to like?
4. Trowa Barton (Gundam Wing): Most people without names wallow in their own self-pity. Trowa, however, took someone else's name and got the job done.
5. Winry Rockbell (FMA): a loudmouthed tomboy with a thing for machines. you can't help liking her.
 
It was hard to narrow it down, but this is what I would choose for now. I'm sure my list will continually change!

1. Sesshomaru (InuYasha): I love that he is powerful and confident. He knows what he wants and goes for it. I love his cool demeanor.

2. Akito (Fruits Basket): Akito was put in a position of being a God and acted in an unconventional manner. It makes me wonder how others would act in the same position. This character is a little whack and I like watching characters like that.

3. Ed (Fullmetal Alchemist): He is just plain funny to me. I love how he reacts to things yet can be awesome with his Alchemy.

4. Light (Death Note): Another given a God-like position and look at what he does with it. He was once one for justice and then turns into a mass murderer. He also has the brains to outwit "almost" anyone.

5. Alucard (Hellsing): He is just a monster who loves to fight and I wonder what that would feel like. Yet, he is a servant which seems out of place for what he is but works well overall in the series since he gets to do what he loves: fight.


Yes, I almost picked Lucy for that very reason. I guess she would make #6 on my list right now.
 
Well, here it goes:

1.) Seta Soujirou (Rurouni Kenshin)
Soujirou has been at my number one spot for over 5 years and it will never change. He's positively adorable and I've always been drawn to his character. His past brought me to tears and his battle with his emotions is powerful. Also, his smile is just too cute~ Overall, he's the best. To me, anyways. I really do hope he finds the truth he is looking for. By the way, I have over 300 pictures of him in my Photobucket account, wanna see?! *crazy eye*


2.) Saito Hajime (Rurouni Kenshin)
Saito Hajime is the epitome of badass. With his masterful sword skills, cold personality and his chain smoking, he makes a special, unforgettable character. Former captain of the third squad of the Shinsengumi too! He's just a sexy beast and I LOVE it when he insults people. *growl*


3.) Komagata Yumi (Rurouni Kenshin)
This chika is a good one, you know why? Well, she has to be good if this is where I got my name! Yumi is a beautiful soul with beautiful blue lipstick too. (I r not lesbonic. Letting you know.) She has such a sad soul and sacrifices her life for her one true love, Shishio Makoto. They really understand each other and it's fabulous. Yay for Yumi!


4.) Ishida Uryuu/Ryuuken (Bleach) (It's a tie. Please, don't ask me to choose.)
Don't ask why it's a tie, it is obvious: both are way too amazing for words. They are the reason I even watched Bleach in the first places... ah, the Ishida family keep that Quincy pride alive and you HAVE to respect Uryuu's sewing skill and Ryuuken's intellect which is beyond any other mind. Aaand glasses are just my thing on guys. Guys need them to look good. Like father, like son.


5.) Genkai (Yu Yu Hakusho)
And finally, the master of disaster, Genkai! She's positively wise and a masterful fighter... one of the strongest psychics known in the human world. There's not much else to say unless you've seen this woman in action! Her young adult face is beautiful as well as her smartass attitude you can't help but love. I want her to be my new mama. (Sorry, real life mama.)

1. Kanda Yu (D. Gray-Man)-Kanda's really cool and he has a sword!!^^also he calls Allen a moyashi!
2. Haruhi Suzumiya (TMOHS)-GOD
3. L (Death Note)-Again, he's really cool and he was a great detective!
4. Lavi (D. Gray-Man)-...He has a hammer! Plus, he's training to be a Bookman so he's somewhat wise...
5.The Hitachiin twins (Ouran High School Host Club)-They play funny pranks on the Host Club members, which are pretty good!
 
Here is my list, (as of today) in no special order:

1. Takumi Fujiwara - Initial D An unwilling hero. An awesome driver and my first real anime.

2. Irako Seigen - Shigurui A dead-set bad ass. Walks into the dojo and challenges everyone, wins, looses, learns, fornicates with the dojo masters missus, I could keep going but will be happy to just say he is the man.

3. Iwamoto Kogan - Shigurui Gets half his face sliced off and still won't go down. (At least for a bit). Mentally unstable but when he locks on, he schools!

4. Mugen - Samurai Champloo I love his fighting style, his humor, his off-handedness.... And I find his appearance the best out of 'em.

5. Eda - Black Lagoon Sharp tongue. A smoking, drinking, gun welding nun for crying out loud. Hard to pick between her and Revy but..... those eyes, I love those eyes. (Did I mention she is hot as).

So there it is, as it stands today but will probably change in the future.
 
1. Zefiris of Scrapped Princess
We are very much similar in terms of looks and personality. She's very cold with, although more than me, some exceptions.

2. Abel Nightroad of Trinity Bloody
I'm always into characters with white/silver hair, and even more a character who jokes around normally, but serious when needs to be.

3. Anzelotte of Night Wizard
Very cute and interesting the way she handles things. She practically doesn't give anyone a chance to refuse a mission.

4. Kenshin Himura of Rurouni Kenshin
He also plays around alot and gets serious when he needs to be. I really like his humor.

5. Echizen Ryoma of Prince of Tennis
Not much to say except he's pretty cocky with skills to back it up, and I like it. His play style is also very interesting.
 
Mine might be mixed with their manga personas.. XD

1. Fai D. Flowright (Tsubasa Chronicles) Pfft, I've loved his character since I was 11 or 12. I don't care how much he changes, but after seeing him smile so sadly I figured out how to smile and talk to people properly, in a way. So I really adore him.
2. Yoite (Nabari No Ou) I can't help it. He seems so... helpless and beautiful and I simply love this series. Especially him with Miharu. ^^ Miharu's awesome, but Yoite beats him to this list.
3. Grell Sutcliffe (Kuroshitsuji) Yeah, I added the "e" at the end due to the serial killer I believe his last name might be from. Flamboyantly gay, radiating awesomeness, I loves him~!
4. Count D (Pet Shop of Horrors) I didn't even noticed he dressed like a female. XD And when I watched the four episode long anime I was like "Wow, his voice... is awesomeness O.O". Makes me wish there was more anime to it, I loved the old style.. He's just... COOL. He's the reason I'm buying all 10 volumes of the original the next time I go to Moncton. XD It appears to be out of print..
5. Michiru "Micchi" Nishikiori (Kamichama Karin, Kamichama Karin Chuu) Despite not being a fan of this series *my sister's fave* I stole the manga once from her just to read every chaptre involving this character. Like always, I seem to have a thing for characters who are generally isane/weird and always happy, but then have a side to them that's rather sad. Micchi's like that. Makes me want to pat him. X3
 
1.Simon from Gurren Lagann; My gawd, my favorite anime character. He was so cute as a child, hot as a teenager, and even more hotter grown up(even though I didn't really see much of him as an old man.XD). Well, besides me being a crazed fangirl of Simon, another reason why I like him is because of his courage. He may have let that down when Kamina.. you know.. but in the end, he stood up and faced life without him.

1. misuzu(air tv)-amazing. I love how she still has a child's heart with her, and how she always is so optimistic. thats the best way one can live.

2.mello(death note)- soooooo so so hawt!! and he is awesome-amazing and I love how he keeps people hostage. also how they love chocolate. :3

3. L(death note)- I despretly wanted to make mello and L tie. I like mello .001 more okay?? XD

4. haruhi suzumiya(melancholy of haruhi suzumiya)-shes great! I love her energy and uniqueness. its amazing

5.misa misa(death note)-why do so many people think shes annoying? shes only stupid compared to genuises like light but she actually seems smarter than the average person. misa is kewl. :3

&& katomi, yuki would be my 6th if there was a 6th! she is very curte I agree. what I really like about her though, is how she talks robotish. thats awesome. XD
the reason shes not on my top fuve is because she doesnt show ANY emotion whatso ever. o.o
 
WTF only five ? nvm here mine :
1)Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto Shippuden , he is a cheerful and hyperactive ninja whose always believe in himself and have a strong determination to become the next hokage in konoha village . With his strong will the whole series become more interesting to me .

2)Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass R2 , He is a very loyal brother to his sister unlike me . Everytime he will turn things right and I interest with he strategy to reach his goal in the show .

3)Konata Izumi from Lucky Star , She is very familar compare with me examples like to play video games , watch anime , lazy to do homework , etc . The only difference between me and she is i am male but she is female .

4)Shana from Shakugan no Shana , Probably the biggest reason I watch the series. She is the cutest girl i never seen before in anime series . She is the first tsundere I like but sometime I don't like how stuborn she was .

5)Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya , She is the anime character who made me like anime again , Sometime she was stupid and childish but everything she did make me laugh so hard . She also a straight person who thinks herself is right . ( Lucky she don't know about she is a god XD ) .
 
1) Rei Ayanami (Neongenisis evangelion) because she is beautiful and a strong silent type plus I love her

2) Light Yagami (Deathnote) because very smart and great idea of how to fix the world

3) Lelouch Lamperouge (code geass) same reason as Light Yagami except instead of the world Japan

4) Kamina (gurren laggan) because he's a definate leader anyone who follows under him always is more inspired by his words than they are afraid of the enemy

5) Alphonse (fullmetal Alchemist) kind hearted and makes a great friend and an even better brother plus he reminds me of myself
 
#1: Michiru Kaioh (Sailor Moon)
She's my dream woman. She's strong spirited, and her love for Haruka stayed strong even to death. Yeah...she's just that Fucking awesome. People complain that she was too condescending or too bitchy, they're just pissed that they can't handle how amazing she is.

#2 Ayumu (Spiral)
I like Ayumu's personality. His confidence after he figures things out is just awesome. Plus his sense of humor is great too. You can always get a laugh out of him. The way he pokes fun at Hiyono is always entertaining.

#3 Lucy (Elfen Lied)
If you don't know the awesomeness of Lucy, then you've been living under a rock. She doesn't take shit from anyone, and isn't afraid to kill anyone (minus kohta). She's also the cause of the most controversial first 10 mins of anime ever. The way she torn apart Nana has been burned into my memory...

Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Everyone knows Hiei. He is cold, confident and ruthless. Although those qualities are enough to earn him respect, he also has another side to him. Despite how brutal he can be, he looks out for Yukina and would do anything to ensure her well being.

#5 Mr. Kimura (AzuManga Daioh)
This was a toss up, but Kimura gave me numerous laughs throughout all of Azumanga. If you didn't laugh at his pedo antics, then you have no sense of humor.
 
Uchiha Sasuke:
