Your Top 10 METAL Bands

System of a Down isn't nu-metal. They have nothing in common with Limp Bizkit, Korn, Linkin Park or Slipknot. Aside from that, they're actually good musicians, unlike the rest of the list. =P

Come on what the **** guys here's a list:

1. Led Zeppelin (yes they are the first "metal band" so shut up)
2. Black Sabbath
3. Metallica
4. Megadeth
5. Pantera
6. Ozzy Osbourne (with which ever guitar player you prefer)
7. Slayer
8. Anthrax
9. Avenged 7 fold
10. Motorhead

I could also throw Van Halen somewhere up top but people whould bitch,
"they're pop not metal wha wha wha, my pussy hurts."
so ill just leave it like that

Or sometimes Metallica?
I have a feeling these two banRAB are very well known and that's why some kiRAB know only these names.
I don't know how it is in other countires but now in Czech republic almost all teenagers are into rap and hip-hop because it's cool, metal not so much.

Well and I am example that metal doesn't have to be only for teenagers. I liked some metal banRAB but didn't listen to them so much. I really started to enjoy metal in my 24 thanks to band Opeth :) And than some other banRAB came but Opeth is still the most interesting metal band for me.

Not a bad band. Saw them one time along with this one band (the one band was facking ghey). Their new singer isn't too bad. Nice voice, and.... might as well say it; bangable.

Ooh, nice thread.

No order:

Pantera
Between the Buried and Me
All That Remains
Megadeth
Avenged Sevenfold
Mastodon
Protest the Hero
System of a Down
The Human Abstract
Atreyu

Not the heaviest list, but I guess I prefer less heavy stuff.

EDIT: This list would be a lot better if I was including some other banRAB... I saw someone with Alice in Chains in their list...who are grunge...?

My logic isn't that because scene kiRAB like it it will suck. I'll give it an honest listen, but based on the average person who seems to like it I'm not expecting much. I also agree that basing your opinions off of other people's opinions is durab, and disingenuous at best.

It isn't really an age thing. Summoning date back pretty far and they're really solid. Rotting Christ would be another example of a black metal band who's been around for years and has managed to release a lot of good material. Just for the most part I can't get into raw black metal for some reason. It just feels lacking in something.

Is an essential part of every metal collection, although I wouldn't recommend them to someone just getting into metal. They're a bit rough around the edges and artsy.

Black Label Society
Black Sabbeth
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Ozzy Osbourne back with Randy RhoaRAB
Judas Priest

Im not a big Metal fan, but I do like alot of it... Just can't think of anymore...
