What are your top 10 anime titles? This includes series, OVA, and film. A handy-dandy numbered list is just fine, though you get brownie points for stating why each title made it into your list.

You should totally rep people if they:Had a title in their list that lead you to a show you now adore.Have a list with great, detailed, or helpful descriptions.Just plain have lists that you strongly agree with!
Go!

1. Samurai Champloo - Because it got me back into anime last year and it just rules

2. Black Lagoon - the first series I went out and brought. Usually I rent and borrow from friends. This anime is so badass.

3. Ghost In The Shell - For obvious reasons

4. Paprika - possibly the trippiest anime I've seen so far. Its amazing visually and plot wise.

5. Ghost In The Shell: Innocence - in my opinion its just as good as the first but the visuals are upgraded and its way more creepy.

6. Texhnloyze - Bloody awesome anime, hard to get at first but even when you don't get it yet its still great to watch. Possibly my favorite serious anime.

7. Highlander: Search For Vengeance - pretty epicly badass. A mest up futuristic city and a bad guy that plays guitar

8. Akira - For obvious reasons

9. Hundred Stories - Pretty solid anime with some interesting characters and ghost stories.

10. Ninja Scroll - hell yeah

In No specific order....

Scrapped Princess
Well, other than the fact that it's ending theme is my favorite song of all time and it has my favorite character, I really like the plot and the setting, which is a really interesting future. That and it has a nice mix of all my favorite genres. XD

Trinity Blood
Umm...it's just bloody awesome? :P Well, I love the main character, I like the conflict, albeit it's not very new, the setting, and the humor. ^_^ The main character alone puts this onto my top list.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
Ahhh, such a sweet anime it is. It's full of charming and cute characters. The plot and plot twists are really interesting. You'd think things are going well and interesting, but in the background, there's something even more interesing. And I like the humor in it. Tee hee.

Shaman King
Again with the cute characters. It's full of action and some adventure and magic---I likes. :P It has some really interesting fights and lots of different spirits and abilities. And then there's Iron Maiden Jeanne. She's so kawaii!! Especially with her cute dress at the end. XD

Rurouni Kenshin
Ahh, what can I say about this except how wondeful the main character is. The character development is rather amazing. There's the great humor and awesome characters and interesting story and I could go on. :P

Yu-Gi-Oh!
Okies, I admit, I like the card game. never was a big collector, but I still liked it. How can you get any better than that? An anime series about a children's card game! It's amazing! And then there's the mix of magic and evil, and I have no idea how they manage to keep the card game involved.... And we're not talking about season zero here! Tee hee.

Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal
A chance to see the Battousai in action is awesome. ^_^ Oh oh, and the romance. So sweet and amazing.... it was so interesting to see about the past of a character.

Tales of Symphonia
Loved the game, and liked the story. Wish it followed the game a bit more, but that's how things are with the game to OVA thing. The scenes and plot twists were awesome. I wonder how it will be done? It seems great so far.

Baccano!
This anime and it's OVA---not to menton OP song---are amazing! I really like how all the scene and time switches finally comes together. It's just so interesting to watch.

Full Metal Alchemist
This anime is really, really interesting with the mysteries of alchemy and all. I like seeing the different ways of how alchemy is done in this.

I cant put them in order because I just don't know where each of them would belong as I like them all.

Full Metal Alchemist - The show that brought about my true love of anime.

Code Geass - One of the first mech based series I ever watched and it changed my outlook on the genre as a whole.

Elfen Lied - I went out on a whim when I bought it but I wasn't disappointed with this show.

Dragonball Z - The first anime I ever watched and as a young boy what do you love more than animated violence.

Scrapped Princess - I just recently finished it and I loved the story.

Ninja Scroll - An awesome movie. I enjoyed it a ton.

Death Note - Such an awesome psychological anime.

Bleach - Much like DBZ in the aspect of tons of action but faster paced and with Katanas.

Chrome Shelled Regios - So many interesting twists and turns, definitely probably the best show that has been running since early spring

Full Metal Panic: Great mix of mecha action, hilarious comedy and interesting cahracters.
Gundam X: My favorite Gundam series, maybe not the best, but absolutely my most favorite.Garrod Ran is awesome.
Godannar: Looking past all the fanservice is some great action and drama.
GitS: Stand Alone Complex: A really complex series. Mix action and comedy with serious issues.
Black Lagoon: A great calibration to American and hong-kong action movies. Kickass!
GaoGaiGar: For being the most stereotypical and unoriginal, yet best super robot anime ever made.
One Piece: Easily the best shonen action series out there. Pirates own ninjas, in this case at the least.
Mai-HiME: Another great shonen action anime, but unlike others like Naruto and Bleach, it has an actual story.
Dominion Tank Police: Its a guilty pleasure for me. Its a crappy series but I love it. One of the first anime I saw.
Mononoke Hime: Amazing movie. A classic that should be seen by everyone, along with all of Miyazakis movies.

7. Disgaea- Fun anime, I love Laharl badass-wannabe additude, and Etna (as flat chested as she is) is very pretty. And of course you can't forget the prinnies. D00D!

In no particular order;

Spiral: It's a good mystery anime that keeps you thinking, and I like the relationship between Ayumu and Hiyono.

Getbackers: GB has it all. Action, Humor, and a decent storyline. It's my alternative to YYH. Plus who doesn't love Dr. Jackel?

Outlaw Star: Digging back to the Toonami era. It's one of the few Animes I saw when I was younger that still kicks ass.

Sailor Moon: Sailor Neptune, no if ands or buts about it. She's perfect.
