rain cascades toward the earth
blessing it with prosperity
roaring, booming, turbulent skies
enchanting dreams, time flies
relax, rewind, unhindered by time
dream little dreams akin to mine
of dancing youth in fleeting light
smiling and singing into the night
given their life, a hopeful chance
to change the world and join the dance
that you and I learned long ago
when our mothers made a Choice.
a Choice, a Choice! a hazardous thing
which permits or prohibits a soul to sing
to live or die, do tell me why
any mother can decide such a thing
with a promising start and a beating heart
young life is extinguished and it's all just a part
of a sick society that allows such a thing
why, tell me why! does not freedom ring?
for the unborn child, does not freedom ring?
a stranger to the world, yet to take wing
when you live in a world where self is king
freedom does not ring
for the innocent lives who lack a voice
there is no freedom, only a Choice
a Choice made by someone else:
to terminate a life.
the time has come for you to awake
remember your dreams, a stand we must take!
we cannot forsake that which is true
lives are depending on me and on you
so dream your dreams akin to mine
as lightning meets the earth
stand with me, for now is the time:
each moment a life ends before birth
rain cascades toward the earth
blessing it with prosperity
roaring, booming, turbulent skies
enchanting dreams, time flies
relax, rewind, unhindered by time
dream little dreams akin to mine
