Well, I am not quite sure what my opinion is since I haven't actually seen many pairs of them.
I would think the non denim ones that just look like denim would be better and more comfortable than actually made denim ones though.
Essentially, it would all come down to what you paired with these tights though. Anything can look bad when paired with the wrong things.
