Your mobile routine

I'm curious to know:

How many phones do you have? How often do you buy one? How long do you keep it? Do you sell it to someone when you're done with it?

I traditionally keep my phone for two years, but they've never lasted that long, and I've gotten into mobile phones in the last year. I've been thinking about buying a $100-200 phone to use when I don't want to carry around the bulky hiptop, and then sell it on eBay and buy another one after a month or two. Do any of you do something like that?

I upgrade every year, usually buy a new one since by the time I get around to trading it in, the existing phone becomes worthless.

From 12-18 months
Currently I have 3 phones (mine, wife's, and a backup). I'm waiting for the 6500 Slide so I could get it for the wife.

I think I might wait a while before I start going crazy on eBay. If my brother manages to send those to S60's home to me (like he's promised for six months), then I might use one of them on the weekend. I'll probably start going crazy on eBay if my family moves away from CDMA and we can use the 3250 and E61i as backups.

i usually get a new one every 4-6 months...depending on what's out there...

I only buy a new phone for myself every 18 months or so.
