I love the fact that my hometown is home...I always moved from town to town when I was growing up, and I had to go to 12 different schools by the time I graduated high school! It's nice to know that I'm living in a place where I can finally put down roots.

nothing. haha. that its so small that i know everyone in it by a first name basis :)

 I'm often awed by the toughness and the kindness of the people here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It's an honor to know these folks.

i love my hometown because the people are nice, i know where everything is, my house is here, the weather is awesome, my school is actually pretty okay, i like the stores here, i love the restaurants... it's perfect for me.

It's actually my dad's hometown since I'm still staying in my hometown but ... the amazing, amazing food. :sigh: And the atmosphere there. I miss that place SFM. :(

For all that your area has gone through, there must be much resilience

I love mine because the friends I made there are my absolute best friends for life. :)

I love how I can walk to the store near my house and it only takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Friendly people....just the other day when I was coming out of the Dollar Store I was struggling to carry a whole lot of shopping bags and I was in a mess because my hair was caught under the strap of my purse on my shoulder. One of the clerks was outside taking a break, and she rushed right over to help me. I thought about how nice that was...and that's actually what originally gave me the idea for this thread. :)

I love the way that my little town has managed to cope after going through Hurricane Katrina, even though our population went from 12,000 to 40,000 in a matter of weeks after the storm. It's a welcoming place, and it was the closest town to the Gulf to survive largely intact.

I love the cultural diversity, the summers, and the proximity to the U.S. border. US shopping trips are always easy for us!

My brilliant friends live there who I love so much
The burrs country park which is lovely to walk through
My parents are there
My house is wonderful
There are two local fantastic village pubs
