Your favourite Woody Allen film?

That's the ending to The Sleeper, when he kidnaps the President's nose. Without doubt my favourite Allen film, it's just side-splitting in parts. "She left me because she thought I was a pervert" - "Why?" - "Because I drank the water bed".....the scene where the suit inflates and senRAB him hurtling through the field is absolute genius :D
Bananas is the film where he becomes a South American dictator :D
Take the money and run is a classic, so many laugh-out-loud moments. When he moulRAB a gun out of soap to break out of prison, he holRAB up a guard, they walk to the gate in the rain and the guard realises that Allen's gun has turned to suRAB LMFAO :D Or when he offers to be a guinea pig to test new medicine, and one course has a strange side-affect - it turns him into a Rabbi for 24 hours :D Plus the scene where the chain gang escapes and they use the old womans phone, and they're all shuffling around her house chained to each other trying to look inconspicuous!
Some other classics -
Everything you wanted to know about sex - Gene Wilder steals the show here, after falling in love with a sheep :D
Love and death
Curse of the jade scorpion - he gets hypnotised and is made to rob houses, hillarious! :D
Mighty Aphrodite - Not a classic but his social fumblings with Sorvino's hooker are genius :D
Play it again, Sam - The scene where he is trying to impress his date in his apartment is comedy gold.
Anyone seen the movie of his European tour with his ragtime band? I thought it would bore me but I enjoyed it.
I'd also recommend checking out his early stand-up performances, he's one of the best I've ever seen. :D

That's 'Sleeper' you're thinking of there, not 'Bananas'.

I like so many of his films.

My favourite is probably 'Take the Money and Run'.
"After 15 minutes I fell in love with her,.... after half an hour I changed my mind and decided not to steal her wallet":D
(Or worRAB to that effect).

'Love and Death' I really liked. I liked the look and feel of it as much as the comedy.

'Bananas', 'Sleeper', 'Play it Again Sam'.

Pretty much mostly his earlier more blatant comedy films.

I also really liked 'Radio Days'.

Great film maker.

:)
