Your favourite Villains in the Animation world?

Part 3:

3)Clayface(Batman)
Clayface-Batman.jpg
: Literally pipping the Joker by the smallest of margins, I found Clayfaces story to be ever so sad and almost as screwy as Lucys story. All thanks to an addiction to Renew-u(Which can remould you face to look young again, buts suffers extreme side effects). And what makes it sad is that hes an extremely famous movie star, Who played as a soldier, a gangster, a boxer and even a cowboy.

2)Char Aznable(MS Gundam)
75286m.jpg
: Ooh im sorry did i give Zechs the title of most iconically known pilot in the Gundam Universe? Well that now belongs to Char Aznable. Char basically remoulded the way we thought about villains forever. Char is utterly unique because like Darth Vader, he wars a mask. Unlike Vaders though its one of the coolest and sinister masks the world has ever seen. And once he pilots that Red Comet, your pretty much history because hes coupled with extremely quick reactions that gave even Amuro quite a tough challenge.

1)Cell(DBZ)
dbz_cell_3rd_qjgenth.jpg
: Well, who else was i gonna place here? Cell is just basically god that rocks my villain world. Cell was originally created by Dr Gero to replace Android 17 and 18 who killed Gero. Unfortunaly, when he comes out of his Alien-esque pod, he relises that Trunks had killed the Androids. Fortunaly he finds a time capsule and travels back through time to when they were still alive. And what he does to both 17 and 18 is really, quite sadistic. I wont spoil it for you but like i say, it really is quite sadistic. And to make him even more fueled with awesome juice is that he beats the main antagonist of DBZ, Goku. Now anyone who can beat the hero of an TV Series is really, fueled by epic juice. But anyone who can beat Goku automatically qualifies as the best villain ever. Cell did just that & thats how he got here.

7. Phaeton (ExoSquad)

Phaeton_exosquad.jpg

Quite possibly the closest you will ever see to an animated Adolf Hitler. Phaeton not only left a body count, but on screen genocide of normal human beings. Intelligent, cold, ruthless, and, in the end, insane. Phaeton hits close to him in that, he may have been grown in a test tube by humans, but he embodies the worst traits of mankind. And he did it all on screen too.

8. Megatron (Beast Wars)

300px-Beastwarsmegatron-thegatheringcover.jpg

Ah, yesss. A classic. The first, great character to be named Megatron. Unfortunately, there have only been two truly great Megatrons in the entire mythos (I'll get to the other one momentarily). This one was clever, crafty, manipulative, and slick. He accomplished more than his predecessor with a lot less. David Kaye just oozed evil in this role. Yesss.

9. The Monarch (The Venture Bros)

venture.jpg

If I can have only one comedic villain on my list, this is the one. The Monarch is every single supervillain cliche there is completely dissected and subverted to show us all just how sad and pathetic these people really are. I just love him.

10. Tombstone (The Spectacular Spider-Man)

200px-TombstoneSpectacularSpiderMan2.png

Possibly one of the best make-overs ever given to an established character. Weisman and his team did for Tombstone what Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett did for Mr. Freeze. Gone is the illiterate, petty thug. We get a true crime lord. What's more, unlike the Kingpin in the 90s cartoon, he's allowed to actually be a crime lord. He carries himself well, never speaks in a manner to implicate himself (really subtle for a kid's show). And he's just cool, and badass. Possibly Kevin Michael Richardson's best performance.

11. Megatron (Transformers: Animated)

Megatronanimated.jpg

The only other Megatron worth writing about. As cunning and manipulative as his "Beast Wars" counterpart, and much better Decepticon warlord than G1 Megatron. This is the Megatron that should be the namesake of "Beast Wars" Megatron. Cruel, calculating, always has a plan, and knows how to roll with the punches. And, unlike some other Megatrons, this one does not suffer traitors. At all. Yes, I did approve of his zero tolerance for Starscream policy. Corey Burton was chilling.

12. Ra's al Ghul (DCAU)

tas_429_02.jpg

If the Joker is Batman's greatest local threat, Ra's al Ghul is the threat that forces Batman to step onto a much larger stage. The tragedy here being that these two want the same thing, to bring about order and protect the world. Ra's al Ghul just seeks to do so by any means necessary, and will kill millions to do it. Another tragedy being that he could easily have become another father figure to Batman were he a decent person. David Warner was perfect.

Hopper (A Bug's Life)

hopper.jpg

A Bug's Life isn't one of the best Pixar movies, but it has a really great villain. Seriously, how can a grasshopper be this menacing? The cold look on his face while some of his comrades are being crushed under piles of grain is creepy. He's a cold villain who doesn't take mess from anyone! Also, Kevin Spacey is perfect for his voice. It fits him so well!

Stinky Pete ( Toy Story 2)

Stinky+Pete+TS2.jpg

A very interesting and manipulative villain (don't be fooled by that happy go lucky look on his face). At first he starts off as a rather nice guy, but near the end of the movie, he reveals himself to be a vicious backstabber who is determined to take Woody to Japan with him so they can be on display forever (he's very bitter about children never buying him). I especially like his one line "I've tried reasoning with you Woody, but you keep forcing me to take extreme measures".

Dag the Coyote (Barnyard: The Original Party Animals)

225774919_edb413b09b.jpg

Now that's a villain! I didn't care for the movie at all, but Dag is one awesome villain. For a childish kids movie, he's friggin scary! And David Koechner does an excellent job at voicing him. I also love his design. He's suppose to be a coyote, but he looks like a werewolf and has a devilish tint.

World (Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends)

Not really a villain, but he's definitely an antagonist and he's very psychotic. His owner abandoned him and locked him in a toy chest (that leads to a strange world) for a long time and he's gone a little crazy. After Frankie gets lost in his world, the gang searches for her and finds her. Of course, World's not letting them leave with Frankie. Since if they leave with Frankie, he'll be all alone again. Too bad he only appeared in a movie. I would have liked to see more appearances.

Evil Ron Stoppable (Kim Possible)

boyahahaha.jpg

Blue skinned or not, he's awesome! He's very cunning, he has funny laugh, he scared Shego, and he has fighting skills that put Bruce Lee to shame. He's everything that regular Ron Stoppable is not!

Tai Lung (Kung Fu Panda)

Unlike most villains, he's not evil just for the sake of being evil. He's just really hurt. And once again, his voice is awesome! Great character design also :)

Nice list Greg!

Anyway heres my list of villains that deserves a mention:

Frieza
Freiza_by_Yukyu_Niji.jpg
: Seriously how do you go wrong with Frieza? Hes an absolutely heartless and extremely calculating killer who commited genocide on the on alien race and founded the Dragonballs and wished for Immortality. Then he kills EVERY single character except for Goku. Even Vegeta couldnt beat him. Now if that doesnt get a mention i dont know what will.

Him
himy.jpg
: I never really liked the PPG's but i really have to admit, Him always left a marked on wherever he appeared. And like Frieza, hes a calculating and ruthless villain that doesnt make a mistake. Especially the Speed Demon episode since he technically won.

Unicron
Movie_Unicron_by_Jin_Saotome.jpg
: Possible winner for outright creepiest robot ever existed, Unicron is a very power-hungry robot that transforms into a planet(that looks like it could take out the Death Star). On top of that Orson Welles plays him to errie perfection. So if you havent seen Transformers the Movie, might I suggest you do so?

My favorite villains have more or less always been of the comedy show variety and it should surprise no one that many of my choices are from Darkwing Duck.

Negaduck.jpg

Gotta love Negaduck. Evil just for the sake of being evil. One of the few comedic Disney villains who got away with running around with chainsaws and bazookas. Just a really great character. With Negaduck around, episodes were always a good time.

megavolt.jpg

Megavolt wasn't very smart, and he teamed up with Darkwing more times that was necessary. But he was still a really cool character with a great power. Just a really iconic Darkwing villain.

Quackerjack.jpg

Quackerjack is another favorite. Great design, great voice and just a complete lunatic.

Beaglefamily.png

Barks fans may hate me for this, but I loved the animated versions of the Beagle Boys from Ducktales. Maybe it's just nostalgia. And ya gotta love June Foray as Ma Beagle.

Plankton.png

Plankton rules. Mr. Lawrence brings this guy to life so well and some of the very best episodes of the series are Plankton episodes. I agree that they use him too often nowadays though.

krang.jpg

Lets admit it right here and right now. Krang was the best dang thing about the '80s Ninja Turtle show. Period. I don't care that him and Shredder acted like an old married couple. He was just great. He needs to come back full time.

I can't believe a whole thread's gone by without a mention of

V.V. Agost.

555630-argost_large.jpg

Creepy, yet strangely charming, with a host of oddball allies and a cloakfull of nasty tricks... and he wins more often than not. Even when he LOSES.
