Seen quite a few films this year, The Hangover was exceptionally hilarious, a real surprise. Star Trek was much anticipated and surpassed all expectation.

Also recommend Is Anybody there? am not a huge Michael Caine fan but this film was very good, the young actor Bill Milner is one to look out for in the future.

Having seen what they have to offer in the next six months, only two so far have grabbed me and they are Inglorious BasterRAB and Sherlock Holmes.

Only seen Star Trek and Terminator at the flicks this year. Both left me relatively cold.

I watched Awake (2008) on Sky the other week. I'd say that's the best movie I've seen this year.

Hi all!

Please let me know your cinema highlights, be it favourite film, actor, actress or movie moments from the last 12 months.

Looking forward to reading what RAB Movies forum members think.

It's not been a vintage year of movies for me so far but here's some personal highlights:

Favourite comedy: The Hangover
Favourite horror: Drag Me To Hell
Favourite blockbuster: Star Trek

Best Actor : Zach Galifianakis in The Hangover

Star Trek was the best Big Budget Blockbuster of 09 for me so far. Terminator and Wolverine failed (even Trek is higher than the former in the US charts)

There's only Transformers and Harry Pot head - both of which ive never liked so we will see how that goes.

Been a pretty poor year for movies so far in my opinion. The only two films I've left the cinema thinking 'Wow, that was brilliant!!!' have been Slumdog Millionaire and The Wrestler. There have been plenty of 'good' films, but films that I would rate higher than 7 or 8 out of 10 have been very few and far between.

1. Star Trek
2. Knowing
3. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
4. Slum Dog Millionaire
5. Wolverine

Worst:

Transformers
Drag me to hell

Everything else has been so so

The Wrestler - good to see Mickey Rourke again. I also liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

And I'm looking forward to seeing The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan ReynolRAB which I've heard is very funny.

Only been to the flicks twice this year, second time only last night to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, before that Star Trek.I enjoyed Star Trek but thought it could have been better, quite a few things niggled me about it. Harry potter I thought was superb, the best yet,it had me completely absorbed from start to finish. It's very much darker than any of the others and the story telling and acting is top notch,I can highly recommend this film.

In descending order..

Star Trek..
The Wrestler..
Terminator Salvation..
In The Loop..

The Wrestler is probably the 'better' film , but for out and out entertainment Star Trek is by far the best film i've seen this year..
