I thought it would be interesting to know what all our favourite and least favourite Harry Potter Movies are.

I personally like something about all of them. Although in my opinion some are better than others. Some of them I was also initially dissapointed in, as they missed large parts of the book, however, I later grew to like the film.

My Personal Fave - Prisoner Of Askabon - I love everything about this one, nice story, I just loved it. Order Of Phoenix is another great one. Also loved the first two. Basically all of them lol.

My Least Fave - Goblet Of Fire - This one is really good in many ways. But their's just something about it, I don't like it as much as the others.

I'd love to know what everyone else thinks !!

Favourite- Prisoner Of Askaban, it has always been my favourite and probably always will be =) I think it has the best story-line!!

Least Favourite- Half-Blood Prince. I haven't read the books, and didn't feel this movie was made for people who haven't read them because I'm not entirley sure what a half-blood prince is. The movie didn't explain it. And also it was too light and funny compared to the others.

I haven't seen the new one, so it's out of the five.

My favourite is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes close.

The one I didn't think much of at all was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, one big bore for the most part.

I'm going by the films and not how well they have brought the books to screen, because I haven't read any of the books.

The only two are that proper films are Prisoner of Azkaban and Half-Blood Prince. OK both have a lot cut or changed from the book but in the end it's irrelevant because you've got two great films there and you'll always have the books to go back to if you want the full picture.

David Yates obviously learnt so much making Order of the Phoenix. Half-Blood Prince is easily twice as good as it. Before I saw HBP I was really pissed off that Yates was doing the last book because I thought the Order film was so weak (it really is a mash of scenes that don't mean much, stuff like Sirius's death had little impact due to how it was shot and cut together, and it's too short for the longest book in the series) but now I CAN'T WAIT to see Deathly Hallows pt. 1 and 2.

The weakest of the films is a toss-up between Chamber of Secrets and Order. You get the feeling they just wanted to get CoS out of the way, they didn't spice it up with anything, it's almost like episodes of a kiRAB TV series pasted together, and the end scene with the line 'it's not Hogwarts without you, Hagrid' and all the students applaud has to be one of the worst things I've ever seen! The only saving grace is the brilliant Basilisk effects, Dobby and Jason Isaacs coming in as the perfect Lucius Malfoy.

Oh god I must be weird, I thought Order of the Phoenix managed to take the most boring book and turn it into an even more boring movie! That definitely gets my vote for least favourite.

Favourite either goes to Chamber of Secrets (Bias as it's my fave book) or Goblet of Fire as it was so exciting and had the Cedric Death in it.

Your Favourite & Least Favourite Harry Potter Movies

Favourite: Philosopher's Stone

Least Favourite: Prisoner Of Azkaban.

I always get confused as to which film is which. So much happens in them, I often don't know where I am... Just bought 1, 2, and 3 on DVD, as there was an offer of three Harry Potter DVD's for

My favourite is Philosopher's Stone,it was just brilliant,so much like the book, nothing important left out,all the characters spot on.

Least favourite is Order of the Phoenix. I think it's an absolute joke, the worst film I've ever seen.It doesn't deserve to be called a Harry Potter film. Bad characterisation, bad acting, almost no plot, pointless crap added in and all the good scenes taken out or ruined...I could go on. :(

favourite is Prisoner Of Azkaban

least favourite is Half-Blood Prince:mad: i mean it should be pushing a 16 rating if it was true to the book imo but its a pg:confused:

1. Prisoner of Azkaban (favourite-i thought it stuck quite close to the book and i thought it was quite exciting + thrilling. I also liked the casting for Lupin and Sirius. Though it's my favourite book of the series as well)
2. Chamber of Secrets
3. Philosopher's Stone
4. Order of the Phoenix
5. Goblet of Fire
6. Half-Blood Prince (least favourite-i thought it was too long which wouldn't have bothered me if it had had more action than comedy-romance at times)

I think I agree with everything you said there! Not sure if CoS is my fave book but it's definitely one of them (which is unusual as most people like this one the least) - means it's a good film, though I didn't like the cheesey ending much (I love the ending in the book with the PJ party etc).

I think Goblet is my favourite film - great comedy scenes (waltzing lessons), not too much important stuff cut out, and also the most emotional death (when Harry comes out of the maze with Cedric's body, and everyone's cheering... then the low realisation... I found it really powerful).

I do like all of the films, but my least favourite is probably Order, probably because it was trying to make the best out of a weak book (think about just how much is going on in this one, they had way too much to try and fit in!).

Saying that, I haven't seen HBP enough to establish exactly what I think of it ;)

So far (not seen HPB) its Azkaban especially just for that scene when Buckbeak flies low over the lake and just lets his claw run through the water. Beautifully realised scene. The series has suffered slightly since Cuaron's departure in my opinion,

Not seen the new one yet so out of the five:

1. Chamber of Secrets
2. Philosophers Stone
3. Prisoner of Azkaban
4. Goblet of Fire
5. Order of the Phoenix (I've only seen it once or twice)
