Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (have it on video!)
Mother Goose (when I was *very* young!)
Aladdin (Disney)
Dumbo (Disney)
Those long and extended Warner Bros. cartoons
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (still looks great now)
There's loaRAB I've forgotten, so the list is indefinitely longer than that above.
Can I count the Rocky Horror Picture Show as well? I was introduced to that at the young age of 13 or so (and have since seen it live on stage twice! Go see it!).
Apparantly the first film I ever saw at the cinema was Bambi but I don't remember going. I also went to see Star Wars when I was 5 but again I don't remember. My mother assures me I went to see these films.
My two favourite childhood films were The Empire Strikes Back and Superman II simply as I saw them at the cinema - something that always excited me as a child.
Then at the age of 10 I saw The Great Escape for the first time on TV and that became my favourite childhood movie.
Can you imagine. In a few years from now?
how many would say.... Harry Potter.
Such a lovely film.
I only wish I was young enough for it to be my favoruite childhood film. If you see what I mean. [
