no offend guys..actually I'm excited to watch the movie..I've seen the trailer and it was so nice.. =)

hehe... loved that.

anyhoo... favorite heroes?

harry potter cause not only did he survive voldemort's attack when he was just a baby, he's also brave enough to keep going after him, even when others treated him like an outcast for it.

crybaby walker cause he saved allison from a boring, mundane life and showed those squares just how kickass and talented drapes could be. plus... johnny depp as a greaser is totally sexy.

Aang the last airbender... love his head... just so cool to look at it, it's like a mirror...lol...:D...

my favorite hero would be Scooby Doo because he's courageous, smart, and cute.he's a dog that catches criminals! who would'nt love him!!

Totally agree. He also has a reason to seek justice and to be an angry angry dark guy. One can sympathize, losing your parents is tramatic. Also, he doesn't have any super powers, he's just a guy that's totally determined to make a difference and save a city from ruin.

X-Men!

I just love X-Men. Storm, Jean Grey, I love them all.

Also Batman. He didn't have superpowers but he still kicks ass.

Cool a superhero thread.

Superman: I'm such a sucker for extraterrestrials. Plus he's got abilities I've always dreamed of.

My mind isn't in much of a thinking mode at the moment so I'll come back with more later.

I would have to say Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday from Tombstone are my favorite heroes. Why? They showed great courage against all odds and those cowboys who were threatening to make Tombstone, Arizona a battlefield with no one left but to them to take it all over. Wyatt went through hell and back, showed the perservence that Doc instilled him from the get go. Wyatt and Doc never left each other's sides, and they were always there to provide love and comfort to one other at all costs.

:)

^^^I definitely agree with Atticus Finch and Andrew Beckett, their morality was just so defining to the times. I love how they both fought against all the odds win or lose, they never lost their passion.

Atticus Finch is a perfect hero. He's so stern about doing what's right, and the fact that he's able to see through the time's propaganda and way of thinking is great, but that he went as far as going against it in a public forum was pretty awesome.

In this same vein, Andrew Beckett (Philadelphia) is a great movie hero. When he decides to fight alone, he's being brave for himself, but he's also being brave for those who didn't dare to speak up. When Miller joins him, it's a wonderful moment.

Batman: he's a dark character, and I love what they've done with him lately. From the lighter stuff of the Clooney days (IMO) to a more dark era, with Christian Bale (who does an amazing job, btw).

Aragorn (LOTR): He simply kicks ass.

Gandalf (LOTR): He's clever and he also kicks ass, when needed.

So after thinking about this I wanted to also mention someone who isn't a "super" hero. I saw that someone mention Atticus Finch and I 100% agree. He's the most inspirational character in the history of cinema. I'm going to say though I find Clarice Starling from The Silence of the Lambs as being a great cinematic hero. She is also a very strong and intelligent female character which is sometimes hard to find in the films of today.

my favorite would be superman. he is such the mega power. he's got the looks, the power, and the body. he's a total package. and lois is really lucky to have him!
