Love Actually is such an adorable movie! :sigh: It's so positive and all. Romantic, beautiful! Hugh Grant dancing to Jump.

Oh!

I just thought of another romantic/comedy I really like. Win a Date with Tad Hamilton.

Topher Grace was so funny! He's character Pete is in love with Rosalee and every time he tries to tell her Tad Hamilton shows up at the worst time and up stage him. I felt for bad for him. But I loved the fact that he knows Rosalee so well that he notices the little details, like her having six smiles. It shows that you don't have to be a superstar to get the girl.

Your welcome. Because of your choice of Mozart & The Whale (2005), I added it to my netflix. I hope to see it soon. :D

Some of my all-time faves are:

My Best Friend's Wedding: This just so happens to be my all-time favorite movie in general, as well. There's just something about it that I never get tired of. I think it's one of the most original romantic comedies out there. I always found it odd just how much I love this movie, considering it's primarily about a love triangle - I hate love triangles. However, something about it works for me in this movie. Another reason I'm surprised I love it as much as I do, the two I wanted to end up together didn't - the ones I usually want to end up together very rarely do. Again, it works in this case. It was a nice change not to have the male and female lead actually end up together, especially in modern times, in such a well-written sort of way. As much as I love Michael/Julianne, had they ended up together in the end, it just wouldn't have been the same movie. There were great, sweet, little moments that just jump out at me in this movie that make me love it so much.

Love Actually: Seriously one of the best romantic comedies out there! The music added so much to the movie as well as the dialogue. I think they did a great job handling the various didn't stories and romances in the movie. Mark/Juliet just owned it for me unlike any other. They had the fewest scenes in the movie, yet theirs spoke volumes. Every time she sees how he's taped nothing but her on the monitor and when he is showing her the cue cards, I just lose it. :sigh:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: Talk about orignial and very relatable. I loved how this took a concept we've all probably thought about (at least in the very back of our minds), and displayed it on-screen. How Joel realizes he's still in love with Clementine while going backwards through his memories with her as he's losing him, is just so bittersweet. I love how it shows all the memories we have (good or bad), really do add up to making us we we are today.

13 Going on 30: Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner just stole my heart in this movie. They're chemistry was so sweet and genuine, it's adorable. I loved how it took the story of getting everything you ever could've wanted just to realize in the end, that's not even close at all. I loved how she met back up with Matt and he just stood by her, not really understanding why things felt off with her.

I agree with you -- nobody is perfect, and no relationship is perfect, like you said. Life would be boring if it were perfect.

Old-fashioned romances = for sure!

I saw the Sound of Music on broadway and cried. Sooo good, great music and story.

Thank you, I honestly like making lists like those, albeit on my own time and pace. :)

A Walk To Remember!

Rented it for 11 times before I finally bought the damn dvd  (and watched a few more hundred times). Can never get enough!

I love how you did your list, J.R. MacReady! :D

A lot of the movies I love were mention a million times. But here we go again: A Walk to Remember, The Lake House, Walk the Line, Pride & Prejudice, The Phantom of the Opera, 27 Dresses, P.S. I Love You, The Holiday, Just Like Heaven, Titantic, The Notebook, An Affair to Remember, Gone with the Wind, A Lot Like Love, I.Q.... and so many more!

I like these movies because, of course, their romantic side to the story. Each of these character has something about them that makes me love 'em so much! Most of these movies, or even all, are hold dear to my heart.

I forgot to add Ghost!! LOVE that movie! OH and Notting Hill, too!

I agree on Cruel Intentions!

I absolutely love The Notebook. My ultimate fav. movie. I can cry watching it over and over again.

I love that movie also.
I love that line in it:
Oliver, this is your life. It doesn't wait for you to get back on your feet.
It's so true.

I'm also a fan of The Sound of Music.
:)

Love Actually hands down. nothing better then that. its perfect in every single aspect
