I have watched countless of romantic movies yet I still want to watch them over and over again. :))

As a movie lover and an aspiring filmmaker, there are lots of movies that would cross my mind whenever I am asked what are my favorite romantic movies. I would just list few....

The Notebook
Titanic
Sweet Home Alabama
Notting Hill
Love Actually
50First Dates
Jerry Maguire

...and many more!

My favorite romantic movies are Breakfast At Tiffany Titanic Save The Last and
Tyler Perry's The Dairy of a Mad Black Woman.

I can't pick my fav... Cuz I like so many... :sigh: It would take tons of MB for me to write all... :goof:

One of the latest I saw(again) were: 50 first dates and it was beautiful, touching and funny,
and Forces of nature, amazed by chemistry between Ben and Sandra and also surprised with the ending.

I have so many, that I can't even start counting them.

But some of them:
A walk to remember - I loved the book, and the cast was perfect. Mandy as leading... best choice ever.
Titanic - As cheesy as it is, I loved that movie. Now I can imagine better male leading.
Enchanted - Funny, musical and Patrick. Many great thing in one film.
Pride and Prejudice - Saw nearly all versions, read the book, all time favourite.
You got mail / Sleepless in Seattle - Amazing cast, great plot. Do I have to say more?
Save the last dance - Not a tipical romantic movie, but I love how they played out the romantic wibe.
And of course I could sit here and write down several more...

LindsayLovely.: I would totally recommend you watch While You Were Sleeping. :D Here's a link to IMDb about the movie ... While You Were Sleeping (1995)

Oooh! Memoirs of a Geisha was a FANTASTIC movie! I love it to death! Ever since then, I've always thought the name "Sayuri" was gorgeous. :sigh:

I have the movie SILK added to my netflix... looking forward to it. :wiggle:

Another movie that I found interesting was Love & Basketball. Hehe. :D

Gone with the Wind is another fantastic romance movie... all who are romances junkies should see this. :D

City of Angels is also just gorgeous! :sigh: It's a MUST!! Ryan and Cage's chemistry is just stunning! :sigh:

OK... that's enough for now. ;)

the notebook and a walk to remember.
both written by the same man.
what i love about these stories is the fact that their love is just so perfect and so pure, and that here, the guy is the one that fights and works to make it happen and to make it possible, they are the romantic ones.

I think everyone in this thread likes/loves The Notebook. Haha. :) How could you not?

Excuse me for possibly being rude, but then why post here?

LindsayLovely. - I agree with all your movies, except Twilight. And I, like you, really only watch romantic movies.
Mine (in addition to yours) would have to be Love Story. It's so sad, but it's really good. "Love means not ever having to say you're sorry." I'm not sure I agree with this, but it's a good line anyway. And Dirty Dancing is another romantic movie, too.

Thank you! Finally, someone has seen and liked this movie. The quote you posted is so sad. :( And I liked how you posted your list. It's so pretty!

A Walk to Remember: As previous posts said Mandy and Shane's chemistry was awesome. The film was so sad, and I loved how Shane's character turned himself into a decent guy for her.

You've Got Mail: A great romantic comedy. The relationship they developed over the internet and then the friendship they had before she knew it was him provided for a good relationship between the two.

Hey everyone.
So I finally saw Silk.
I borrowed it from my local library
and I must say I really did like it.
Keira Knightley did an amazing job as always.
It was a bit confusing, but still a great love story that withstood the hands of time.
Plus it's a bit of a tearjerker.
So be prepared.
:P

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?-I was really surprised that I enjoyed this movie. It shows the up and downs of couples. Some work out, some don't but in the end they all found what they all really wanted, love.

Wow, "A Walk to Remember" has a huge fanbase here. Well, we can't deny it IS one of the best movies made in its genre :sigh: and it deserves all the attention it gets.
Every single time they show it on TV, I watch it without a single moment of boredom!!

I've got to go with
1 Love Actually - because Love is actually all around. I really enjoy how the movie looks at and explores different kinds of love, the hardships of it, and ultimately the joy it brings. I loved Sam's relationship with his step dad Daniel as he pursues Joanna, I loved that love had no language barriers, love between Billy mack and his manager, and I loved the wedding between Juliet and Peter, and the hidden love Mark had for Juliet. It is just a great movie with lobsters in a nativity play!

2. A Walk to Remember - because Landon loved Jamie. He looked beneath who he thought she was and found true love! they matched beautifully and it was just a great movie with a sad, but beautiful ending, and a great soundtrack!

Yeah Silk was not a popular movie. neither was The Duchess - but both look great :) & Atonement is just so heart breaking. The best part is it is SO SIMILAR to the book:)

The Painted Veil  Boy, I cried so hard in that one!

The Wedding Singer is still a charmer for me. :sigh:

While You Were Sleeping is so good! :sigh: I'm going to watch The Shop Around the Corner soon. :yay:

I can't believe I forgot to add Pretty Woman. One of the most romantic movies ever!!! And Gere/Roberts just go together so well.
