Your entire future is based around a letter...

That's right. School grades. 12 years of hell just for a lousy letter or number on a piece of paper. That's what decides our fate in this world. If you do lousy in school, you are destined to fail. It is that all-important letter that decides whether you can go to college to get another one, which, in turn, decides whether you can get a job or not.

It's a bullshit system. A guy can be a poorly educated, but excellent worker, and not be able to find work because of that one lousy little letter.

On the flip side, a person can have really good grades and get any job he wants, even if he's a lazy son of a bitch.

Yes, I'm the first guy. Long ago, I said fuck school. I guess that's when I really started to look at the world and see how full of bullshit it really is. Maybe that's my problem. Maybe I refuse to play this bullshit game that we call life. I don't care. I never asked to be brought into this world. I never asked to be the way I am. Although, it would be nice if life was that easy.:happysad:

i had that revelation too. i never thought it was fair to have someone who is very lazy but still makes an A get into harvard, but a person who works so hard for a fucking D can't even get into community college. Society sucks.

The reason I don't go to school now is because I know how I work well, but the kind of IEP I passed on before just doesn't seem like something you can do in college. Do colleges have tutoring programs?

Im waiting for that letter to see if i can get in. im relly hopeful because the football coach has called me to play football for them so i think that means im in.

Well somehow there is a loop hole. If your hot, and stupider than hell, for somereason every company wants you to advertise your stupid ass body.

So really you CAN be a dumbass and still get loads of money.

Popularity should die.

The only reason people are popular is because of the idiot's who make them popular.
If people wouldnt build ups someones ego they wouldnt be anything. They would be the same.

If popularity died, then celebrities wouldn't be rich to begin with.

My history 12 teacher once asked why I never took part in class discussions.

I answered that I had nothing to contribute, and would rather listen anyway.

Too bad 30 percent of my mark was class participation.

It makes sense though. To enter into higher education you need to have a grasp on prior, and simpler concepts, otherwise you would just slow everyone down and/or just waste your time and money. The lazy person who gets As obviously has a better grasp on things than the person who has to work their ass off to get Ds. Not everyone is good at certain things, and yes, some people will have to work their asses off just to keep up. You have to figure out what's important to you, and if necessary, work harder at accomplishing the things that matter. That's just life - being fair has nothing to do with reality.

I agree whole heartedly with Junglizm, i know the system isnt fair and society makes the "letter" out to be all important, but think about it, if somone gets straight A's they have to be trying atleast a little bit, and the person that works really har all the time but gets D's, well lets face it, if they work that hard and still get the D, they must be dumb, or just bad at that paricular thing, we just have to accept our strengths and weaknesses, decide what we can do that highlights our strengths and go for it all the way.
