I can't really see the point in buying DVD's. The majority of them you'll only gonna see once and it just means more clutter. I prefer to rent them or watch them at the cinema.

I started listing them when I discovered I started buying a few movies again because I totally forgot I bought them already

Now have 478 on the list and I always check it first before I buy anything :p
 
Wow! Some big lists out there! I must say that mine is probably registering in the several hundreRAB by now, although my DVD buying has been curbed over the past few months having started renting - it's far more cost effective :D Also, my bookshelf is full, so I've actually gotten rid of about 50 or 60 DVRAB on eBay, Car Boots, etc just recently to make more space.
 
I have over a hundred so I cant be bothered, my most prided big boxsets though are:

-all LOTR extended edition (except rotk obv) plus regualr release
