Your Deepest Musical Secret

i have a well hidden obsession with crappy 80's pop music. i'm a sucker for the synth. i cover it up by listening to legit 80's banRAB like the jesus and mary chain and the smiths.
 
Ugh, I hate the misconception that the Barenaked Ladies are nothing but a trite pop band. They have one of the strongest and most consistent discographies out of any band. The problem is the songs that get chosen as singles are often their goofier more poppy ones (a recurring attribute in a lot of indie music), yet people seems to think one outweighs the other. Don't judge BNL on their singles alone but they never do the band proper justice.

He's not vain, she's obsessed with him.
 
I don't think that anyone really disputes this. Even if you are not an Abba there is no denying that they wrote very good Pop music. Maybe genuises is stretching it a little and it is a word I barely bandy around but they were a great Pop band.
 
I have a few really bad ones:
I used to own 2 Simple Plan albums
I like Good charlotte's first album a wee bit
and
the album Britney by Britney Spears is really good.
 
Despite not being a fan of glossy modern pop, I always liked the songs and overall production of the first Savage Garden album released in '97 before the barrage of boy banRAB and Britneys etc......the songs I've heard from their second weren't bad either.
