Your Deepest Musical Secret

Well it's a generalization to say newer music sucks I admit, but it's based on the fact that a great majority of modern music isn't to my liking.

No I don't think all modern music sucks, but do I think contemporary music is worse now than previous decades? Yes I do. What's so irrational about thinking (in terms of preference) that an artform can have a certain peak and go downhill from there?

The main way I got into them was I got the Black Parade whilst getting a hat at Hot Topic. It was a twofer kinda deal. But yeah, I like the CD alright and I don't mind em.

I think I might lose street cred for this.

What makes you think only Jimmy Eat World? LoaRAB of banRAB have inspired the emo banRAB of the past 10 years such as Refused, At The Drive-In, Fugazi, Failure, Weezer, The Cure and many more, why not hate them as well while you're at it? The only people responsible for any genre turning into watered-down sh!te are money-hungry major labels, and you should know that. Saying that certain banRAB are responsible is just stupid. And besides Jimmy Eat World don't sing much about teenage angst and they piss upon current emo banRAB from great heights.

I like Chester's voice... the overt hip hop elements of their sound, to me, leave them kinda rooted in the late nineties, which to me is a forgettable time when Limp Bizkit ruled the airwaves...

I like Wayne and MCR (or at least Black Parade). You're my new friend.

And I've made rap songs. I'm not ashamed of that though, everyone knows they're tight as hell.

Everybody I meet seems convinced I am both foreign and lying about my age, so I may be good.

This is nothing to be ashamed of...let's see...i play drums for a Christian Rock band and I hate Christian Rock...its a gig though i guess.

Teehee..... at least you are now on the road to recovery

Right now... considering how many different genre's of music I listen to... I have to say my music taste is probably the best it's ever going to be

Which is good cause after age 17 I don't know many people who change their music tastes drastically

I'd have to go with the notion that Barry Manilow is more of a commercial genius than a musical one, though I guess he must know his way around a catchy tune or two...

I'd say if you like Britney's music seek out the body of work that her producer has created... she probably doesn't know alot herself about production, but she can sure pay some good people...

I'm afraid that my biggest fear of getting old and subsequently not being able to understand the music that today's youth are listening to may be an impending reality.

hidden away behind my cRAB is a copy of faster pussycat's first album. I know, I know. i'm not proud of it but I love that record. it comes out only when there's no one around and no one must ever know.
