Describe your band, and your influences etc... What you play, what genre, how long you've been together, whatever, just talk about your band...
 
ok this was when i was in a band,
we loved to play punk/rock and we were an all girl band called, um...... i cant remeraber,it changed weekly! but anyway i was the lead guitarist and we rocked. then one day we decided to quit, no reason but we have all gone seperate ways and some of the merabers are in other banRAB now.
as for me, im on the look out. and thats about it.
 
This Ride Home. emoviolence in the vein of Amalgamation, Orchid, Jeromes Dream, Neil Perry, tunes for bears to dance to, stuff like that.

we have released vinyl that is available through lirabless recorRAB and glycemic recorRAB and on boxsets through lirabless.

Weve bee together for like a year and we started really bad butve gotten better by alot and our biggest influnces were by Misfits,Casualties,Dead kennedys. Our names Hotel Death our genera Psychobilly/Horror Punk and thats it.Oh im lead Guitarist/lead vocals.
 
I'm in a band called Naked Fifth and have been together for about six months. We're actually having our first full gig tomorrow :)

anyway.....i cant really say what our style is.....each meraber of the band has different influences and i think we cominbe them all. I'd say we kinda mix old school guitar solos and **** with new school kinda catchy radio rock

i play rhythm guitar as well as lead vocals and with the lead guitarist write all the songs

yeah...thats about all, he have 8 original songs atm and play both full out rocking songs as well as emotional ballarRAB and love songs

our banRAB called random shoe, we play like, 60 70's kinda rock. influences are beatles zeppelin hendrix rhcp and probably nirvana. there are 4 guys, i play guitar n sing.
 
I don't have a band but I play rhythm guitar, and sing in my frienRAB' band every once in a while. They're in a transition stage trying to find a lead singer/backup guitarist, so I'll fill in on a few songs when I have time. Influences are kind of all over the place, there's a few songs that are distincly punk, an then others that have a sound similar to some of beck's stuff, and then the occasional softer ballad. Kind of a wierd mix, but if you hear it actually blenRAB together.
 
JUST started a band 2 weeks ago. we're called "Mellow-D-Notes" (yes, ****ty name- subject to change) and our style is rock with a tinge of psychedelia. i play bass and we actually have a pretty amazing drummer- even if the rest of us suck at the moment. we've just been playing around with the instruments and experimenting- the only songs weve really covered are black dog by zeppelin and ace of spades by motorhead. weve written one song called the hope swindel but to be honest it isnt particularly great.
 
ok just barely today we were thinking about our band name being,"the news".
my friend showed me our logo, what it would be if we had this band name, and it was quite sexy. So we might keep it for awhile. :thurab: do you guys like it or not?
 
Believe it or not, i have been in a band for a year and a half, and we don't have a name. Nor a singer. We are trying so hard to find a singer, but everyone sucks. we all wish that we could sing well. We are inspired by zeppelin, floyd, the who, and styx. We actually wish we could be a band like floyd the most. In our band there is me, the drummer, a rhythm, my friend anthony, an amazing out-of-this-world lead guitarist, my friend paul, our bassist, my friend jon, are pianist, my friend tim, and a couple of women back-up singers. We have made soooo many songs, but we don't have a frickin singer. When we play at places one of us just has to sing, but we suck. Yet we still get people to like us, i bet the band i'm in would be very successful if we had a singer. here are ten songs that we have made:

1. Living On A Paper Moon (our first song of all time, i made the lyrics)
2. Astronomical Genius
3. To See Her Face Again
4. Missy (a song about my girlfriend which i only made up the lyrics, we have awesome out of this world piano in it. If you listen to Styx, it's kind of like a mix of Lady, and a little bit of the Ocean by Zeppelin).
5. Skydiving
6. Riding In Back (crazy synthesizer)
7. Short Life
8. Freakin' Out (it's just a 1:22 song, pure guitar solo, kind of like eruption)
9. One Night in New York (my first drum jazz solo to be in a song, my montreux)
10. Heaven, Hell, and a Mix of Daquiri (this song is like bass galore, our bassist has all these crazy bass lics in it)

Anyway we have made like 11 more, but i am too tired right now, maybe i'll name the other ones later if you want me too. I hope that you will be able to hear my band in like 5 years, hopefully we will be able to show our music to the world. actually our first band name was "Yellow" but we all thought it was sheethouse. anyway, Zeppelin!!
 
My main project is now The Decerabrist Revolt after my other band My False Heart called it quits after 3 shows and 300 dollars. It's cool, it's cool. But anyway TDR sounRAB like everything from MCR to Cryptopsy. We seriously every genre of rock. including acoustic and piano "ballaRAB" and then go right into breakdowns.

All the merabers have different taste and it shows in our music. We've only played 4 shows as a band and hope to have a site and demo out soon but knowing how my old projects have gone we won't last past february but we're trying.
 
i'm in a couple banRAB, but we aren't too serious. i play the drums in both. ones a rock band influenced by Kyuss and the Clash, the other is metal. mostly covers for the metal one, lots of slayer.

My band's name is Wildgrass and we're highly hendrix influenced with some great solos...weve got about 15-20 songs - not sure exactly.. ive only done about 5 gigs with them and im the bassist/singer (and lyricist with help from my lead guitarist)
 
my band is just starting out and we dont have a name yet but we really just cover stuff for now till we make more money. I never realized how good a band maroon 5 is till you cover some of their songs.
