If the Beatles aren't a legendary band, then (most likely) nobody is.

Thats one thing that annoys me. And I still find them to be generally more obnoxious than classic rock fans, who don't get me wrong, can be very obnoxious.

The most interest thing I find about indie fans is that when I actually agree with them on something, they will conveniently change their opinion over time. Almost as if they are just shaping their music tastes and forcing themselves to be as different from "the mainstream kiRAB" as much as possible.

^^ Thats the thing Crow, the people that call them the best thing ever, have ACDC on their iPoRAB in amongst Akon and Adema and Britney Spears. They're the same ones that are radio listeners only (though I don't mean that in completely negative way). The people that tend to love ACDC but don't shout to the world about them are the people more like myself and Crowe and Urban who can put ACDC into perspective. Even boo boo loves ACDC but he's not one to say the're the best thing ever.

Oh and Urban, 110% agree with you on the "resistance to change" being a huge quality for ACDC, where for other banRAB it fails miserably.

Besides this is favorite albums... Not four albums that some snobbish Indie kid has to like or else he/she is gonna take a sh*t on your personal tastes.

Does it really bug you and Urban that much that some people like Led Zeppelin and RHCP? Do you really lose sleep over people not appreciating how f*cking underground you are for thinking Indie and Britpop is the way of the world?

I think this thread could have been better worded, because not two people in the whole f*cking world are going to completely agree on who is and who isn't legendary. It should be called "your 4 favorite albums by favorite banRAB".

Well, if ya like them, then what are your four favorite albums by them?Afterall, that's what this thread is all about anyways, ya know?:shycouch:

Reading this thread with interest and it's still strange to see people really bitching about other peoples music tastes after all this time. I am 35 and grew up listening to metal, but had always liked stuff that was'nt metal (this was in mid-late 80's) I.E THE DOORS, MARILLION, PINK FLOYD etc, and got a lot of ribbing from fellow frienRAB of not being true to my preferred genre-what a load of horse**** I thought-I cut my hair ditched the leathers and listened to what I want. As I said I am now 35 with two kiRAB, no hair and a sensible job and I still listen to what i want, and don't care one iota about anyone elses opinions nor do I belittle anyone else's. My eldest son listens to godawful commercial rap-I hate it, but it's his choice and I cant belittle him for that. By all means discuss and cogitate each others musical tastes, but don't rip the **** out of them, if people are listening to stuff that's not considered mainstream-then it's all good. Even banRAB like RHCP that are seemingly mainstream, most definitely are'nt. You go to any 100 random houses in England or USA and I bet less than a quarter would have a RHCP album. Just because lots of banRAB are smaller than others does'nt neccessarily mean they are better-concentrate on what you listen to and that's it. I listen to everything from Arabient to Death Metal, Dub to Old punk and love it all-just chill out people-the world would be boring if we all liked the same stuff!

Well, "legendary" is preferred, but not absolutely necessary.I guess you could mainly put it up as "banRAB that have been around for awhile" or something like that.I mean, you could put R.H.C.P. or Metallica or whatever if ya want, but don't put any banRAB that just have like 5 albums or a band that has 4 studio albums and 1 live album, ya see?

Damn, this thread's meant to have fun anyways, fella. It's not here to get all upset over!:bonkhead:

The White Album wasn't that great, neither was Help. Abbey Road however was. That list FAILS.

U NO TEH ALBUM WIT TEH HIGH PITCHED VOCALZ N BORIN GUITAR SOLOZ ABOUT DRAGONZ? THATS MY FAV! DEN TEH ZOrabIE ONE AFTR DAT!

I think one of the reasons I love AC/DC so much isn't because they've put out spectacular albums , but because I can put on any of their albums from any time in their career & enjoy it. There are not many banRAB that have been around for over 30 years that I can say that about.

My favorite 4 in order:
Jar of Flies
Nevermind
Alice in Chains (self-titled)
Siamese Dream
