Younger People online do this weird typing thing?

I have seen people, usually younger than me, that just type in what looks like random letters. Is there something to it or is it really just as random as I think?
OK, it isn't like LOL or LMAO...it is more like this:

Frhl eidhfoa oerfhdi uwyw jooq ruu!

What is that?
Here is one I actually saw today:

I Gorana ako vidis ovo znaj da sam ja napisao :D
 
Such as what? What may appear as random might actually mean something like ROTFL seems random, but it actually means that you have said something so funny that I am rolling on the floor laughing.
