Hello! I'd like to see if any of you have any good products that you recommend for stress acne. I am a young female adult with corabination skin. I have dry areas of my skin and need to use moisturizer, but get a little bit oily on my forehead/nose during the day, so I use blotting sheets for this. I have the oil under control with the use of these sheets. I tend to get flaky skin around my nose, so I use a microdermabrasion product at home to help with this. It also helps keep my skin softer and smoother.
I still tend to break out, especially around my hairline. I work out often, so I wash my hair every day. I don't use any hair products around this area. I do use a serum, but only at the bottom half of my hair. I do tend to wear ponytails/buns to work a lot, so this may put some stress around the hairline. My hair is pretty long and thick, so I just can't stand to have it down and in my face when busy at work.
I deal with anxiety and get stressed pretty often, and I know it contributes to my acne. I take Prozac for my anxiety and feel great overall, but just can't get the acne under control. Neutrogena Stress Acne Control has worked well for me in the past, so I am going to try it again. I hope it helps this time around too. The glycolic acid in the products seemed to help a LOT. Benzoyl peroxide doesn't work too well for me and salicylic acid is only so-so. Are there any other good products that may work for me? I remeraber using a chemical peel product at home once and it was amazing, but I don't remeraber what brand it was! It was a pretty gentle one, nothing harsh. I haven't tried alpha hydroxy acid, but thought that may be good too, since other acidic products helped so much. I've tried a lot of the more popular acne skincare lines without much luck. Most of them are too drying as well. I need to moisturizer at least around my eyes. I break out even with all oil free products. I really just need something meant for acne AND moisturizing.
Meanwhile, I'm going to try the Neutrogena ones, but if any of you have similar skin and found something good, please let me know! I appreciate all help!
