You wish... Cartoon series you wish could happen?

The laugh track is kind of funny in the Justice Friends shorts but I think it would get old pretty quickly if it continued for an entire season. But maybe that is just me, since I hate laugh tracks. I just find it insulting when the television tells me when to laugh. I know that it has a different intention with cartoons; but it still bothers me.

Hmm.. I like these Nintendo ideas. Alot. Especcialy the SSBM and Star Fox Adventures ones.

Sonic's been done. Despite all 3 being alternate universes and not true Sonic sagas. I'd like to see one set in the Sonic Adventure universe. The Genesis games stand out on their own and they don't need a TV series.

And there really should be a Zelda anime.

also a remade Lord of the Rings animated series would be cool.

PB and TI are both on that page. TI is basically a crossover between Digimon Adventure/02 and V-Tamers, even explaining the Taichi problem. Again, my issue is that TI wouldn't make it as a kids' show--which is what Digimon is in Japan. And even if Chiaki Konaka somehow drugged the execs at Toei into producing TI, no American company would dub it. Great story, but too mature for the 6-11 year old demographic.

Two words:

NERD
MAN

When David Johnson is bit by a were-nerd, he becomes NERD MAN!!!!!!! From then on he fights The Evil Captain Crayola Marker, The Were-nerds themselfs, and a secret bad guy, and receiving help from Idiot (Spelt Ideeot) man, and Bob.

They did. It's called 'The Batman'.

I want a Yoko Tsuno serie!

A sequel to Cybersix and UnderGRADS.

And a few ideas of my own off course :p

Man I just realised this thread is ANCIENT! This thing was dead even before I joined rabroad oO

I know this is an old post, but I remember once hearing just after the series was rebooted, there was to be a Stewie internet cartoon series or something. Never happened though.

I will say that I always wanted to see them do a new Space Ghost show where he's a super hero with his old side kicks, but using the same style of Space Ghost as the Adult Swim style that we know and love today. Similar to what Harvey Birdman and Sealab are like. Instead of talking to guests, they just had a show similar to the DC comics that were in rotation of the Cartoon Network comics.

Latley I've been thinking about old Nick shows that could have been animated series. I've always wonder what would if be like if The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Space Cases, Salute Your Shorts, My Brother & Me, and As Our School Bus Turns(It wasn't really a series but short segments that I really enjoyed watching ;) ) be like if they were animated.

Also why not have a Super Smash Bros. animated series? It would so cool! :D

WHAT???? FORGET IT, DOC! The "Space Ghost" series that must happen MUST for the love of God be based on the recent DC graphic novel. Such an animated SG take would....some kind of....rule.

outside of what's already been mentioned (updates of classic shows) and what's painfully obvious (retooling of bad shows/Greg Weisman's unmade gargoyles spinoffs) I'd like to see some more comic-based shows, Hellboy: the animated series for one thing, if you've seen Mignola's style you know how well it would lend itself to animation, especially the Bruce Timm style, I would also love to see the Star Wars novels released in animated form, possibly in the Clone Wars style

Good lord, this is easy, considering that I've had a dream show in my head for months.

Nintendo, get up and hire the FLCL staff to make a Wario Ware anime RIGHT NOW. Make a decent Donkey Kong cartoon with Mainframe while you're at it.

What do I think needs to be made into an animated series? Here goes.............................

Elfquest; the character designs are easily adaptable to animation, there is enough material just on the original Pini stories to last 3 seasons easily and there is already songs for a musical background. It'd be perfect for a primetime series.

Sandland; it's really too short for a series, but would make for a great OVA or miniseries like FLCL.

A Series of Unfortunate Events; with as many books that it has already there is plenty of material to provide for at least 1 full season, the character designs would translate well and it has a black humor that would probably appeal to a primetime audience.

Think of more later.
