You wish... Cartoon series you wish could happen?

1. Video Warriors: Basically an update of the Captain N the Game Master/Video Power cartoons. Lara Croft, Solid Snake, Sonic the Hedgehog, the Prince of Persia, and other video game heroes protect the universe from the forces of evil! Whether it's the Umbrella Corporation producing zombies, Moebius the Time Streamer disrupting the fabric of reality, Shao Khan and Shang Tsung rigging the Mortal Kombat tournament into a deadly trap, or SHINRA threatening to destroy planets, the Video Warriors will be there to stop them! This quest is sometimes hampered and sometimes aided by amti-heroes known as Renegades: people like Kain, Tommy Vercetti, and Torque who make up their own rules of good and evil.

2. Unlikely Heroes: Based on my stories in the Story Board, this series is similar to Adult Swim's Venture Bros. (except that this series parodies Masters of the Universe, not Jonny Quest). A group of incompetent "heroes" tries to defend the universe against the "evil" Malkor, who turns out to be a hard-luck schmuck.

PPG-D : Aka PPG Bleedman. This would be awsome as a 26 epper.

Kingdom Hearts- A. story: What hasn't been said towords this? Seriously.

Codename Sailor V: Oh, comeon, this is the dream of every moonie at heart, No?

King of Bandit Jing- Twilight Tales: Just cause I'm the biggest Jing fanboy this Side of 7th heaven :D

Hey, we've all had daydreams and thoughts about cool cartoons that should be made.

Anyways, here's mine. (And it's weird, but not too farfetched)

I've always been dreaming of a cartoon series based off of 'Super Smash Brothers Melee'. It'd be sorta like Masters of the Universe 2K2, with a touch of Kingdom Hearts. It'd have the notables, but it'd focus on the heavweights of Nintendo:

Mario, Samus, DK, Kirby and Zelda (it IS called 'The Legend of Zelda' after all) would be the main stars, but the supporting cast would be Link, Fox McCloud (Krystal too), Ice Climbers, Captain Falcon, Prince Marth, Princess Peach (I'd have Marth and Peach together for romantic tension if Samus and Falcon aren't going to go at it) and Pikachu. The bad guys would work for the Master Hand, and the 'Smash Brothers' would go around to various Nintendo worlds/games and do stuff there.

Of course, knowing American companies, they'd make the cartoon into a 30 minute OOC slapstick fest. :rolleyes: Then again... maybe not. But it has potential, and I really wish someone would make it into a cartoon series. ^^;

And then there's the KH series. ;)

But what shows do you wish someone would make? :)

I'd also like to more Ren and Stimpy cartoons, but ones with character design style and feel of the Rolling Stones "Harlem Shuffle" music video, Mighty Mouse: the New Adventures and the really early Ren and Stimpy episodes. they should finish all eps. that were storyboarded but not animated. heck, even animate Bob Camp's "All Sluugard's Day" story, out of respect to Bob.

Ralph Bakshi should re-make "Cool World" and have it follow his original script(s) and/or storyboard(s).

P.S. to the mods: Please pin this thread.

Calvin and Hobbs- Although you would have to be very careful in this adaptation so as not to ruin the characters; it could easily be the greatest cartoon ever. Too bad Bill Waterson would never let a cartoon happen.

Redwall-It's a book by Brian Jaques about a war between mice and rats. It would make an excellent animated movie. Its prequel "Martin the Warrior" would probably make a better series though. But, it would probably be too violent for American TV. You can't exactly turn the rats into robots.

Green Lantern Corp
- I would want this series outside the DCAU continuity and done by Genndy Tartakovsky in a Clone Wars/Samurai Jack style.

Justice League Beyond-The Justice League of the future, but further into the future than Batman Beyond. Maybe one Batman later so McGinnis can be like Wayne in BB. Keep Superman and J'onn if possible , then add a new GL and you're golden. You can even use some past villians (Brainiac, Vandall Savage, ect.)

I dunno if I've posted it before on this thread, but I think that, if it were possible, it'd be kewl to have something like Captain N or "The Power Team" from Video Power again, only this time it'd be based on today's video games. Just one question: would the "heroes" of M-rated games such as Legacy of Kain, Max Payne, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, etc. be portrayed as good or evil?

Edit: Oh, and I agree about Cool World. Or better yet, Fire and Ice. Damn, Teegra and Holli were hot... :nurse:

There are some that I wish could become reality in the animation field. And I tip my hat (if I actually was wearing one) to the webbers whose characters are inspirations for a couple of the series ideas.
First, a series featuring a group of outrageous felines and other anthropomorphic creatures inspired by the creations of webbers like Celix, Cutesy, and Janna Correa. It would be kind of an anime adventure-comedy series. Perhaps you can find out more about those web stars by checking the sites of the webbers listed. Those web characters were some of the most astounding I've ever found out about, and I've always mentioned to those webbers about possibly having them in a series, since their fanfics have been phenominally enjoyable. Most of them anyway.
Another idea would be a "TaleSpin"-off (Get it?) starring Don Karnage. With support from webber Katie Sullivan, it could become an interesting comedy-adventure mix. If Katie can follow through and convince Disney to create the spinoff series with her web-based characters joining some of the more familiar members of the original series- not just Karnage, but also Rebecca and Molly Cunningham, Colonel Spigot, Shere Khan, and perhaps even Trader Moe- it could become one of the best series Disney would have since the yet-to-debut "Stitch" TV series.
And then there's a series spinoff that I hope is more than a wish, but possibly going into production. I refer of course to a spinoff starring the extremely popular yellow-bellied whipporwill from the "CatDog" series, Lola Caricola! This spinoff would feature some supporting players who had at least one appearance on "CatDog", but would become regulars on Lola's show: Greaser Proteges Squeak Dubois, Biff Feltbottom, and Bartholomew McDog; along with Hound Dog McDog, Pussycat Catfield, and their country bumpkin daughter Ellie Mae Sue; plus the con duo of Dan and Stan; and perhaps special appearances from Lola's rarely seen parents as well.
I can only hope all of these ideas go from online board to TV screens very soon. The sooner the better for everyone involved, I might add. :bosko:

IMO, if done right, an animated Metroid series done by Genndy Tartakovsky in the same fashion as Samurai Jack would RULE ALL :D

My wish isn't for a new cartoon series. I'd like it if Universal Studios properly packaged the Walter Lantz cartoons for syndication. The last widely-distributed syndication package was made in the 1980s, and the people programing it mostly used 1960s cartunes. Then they edited the cartoons so they could fit in these horrible things called "Musical Miniatures," cartoon clips set to synthesizer music. So, the show had badly edited versions of Lantz's weakest cartoons. It's no wonder Woody isn't that popular anymore, even I didn't care much for him when I was little....that is until I started seeing more of the earlier cartoons. I heard a new package was made in the 90s, but it was never bought by anyone in the U.S.

So, I'd have this "new" show utilize the 40s and early 50s cartoons more - especially the cartoons Tex Avery, Dick Lundy, Don Patterson, Alex Lovy, and Shamus Culhane did. The show would feature either newly animated bumpers done to match the cartoons, or re-use older bumpers made for the Woody Woodpecker Show in the 1950s.

Other than that, I'd like it if Roger Rabbit got a new series. Not a TV series, but a theatrical series.

Jack :D
