you know... i've always wanted to be an author.?

since i've been young, i always wanted to write a book. i like to read books about teenagers & partys. but i also like to read those books you get about "people being beat up when they were young" kind of books... not in a sad way but they are quite interesting.

in school, i'm going into 5th year at high school (scotland), and i'm doing advanced higher english, geography, higher maths and german. do you think i would have a good chance at writing a book?

i am also staying on for 6th year at high school. Which is after the summer.

I must admit i am very intelligent. The subjects i took for 6th year are, English Maths Spanish German & Geography. Everything is advanced higher, but spanish is just intermediate 2..

I would like some opionions, i can also change my subjects before i go back to school.

Wow, six years of high school?? I only have four....

I think you should absolutely try. And if your book is good enough, then good luck getting it published!! ^^

But then again, I'm only in high school, so I don't know much about getting books published. I think you should go for it anyways, though. (:
 
Yes, of course you can. You seem to be dedicated at whatever you do since you are taking all of the advanced classes. The thing is that you have to be creative in writing a book and stick to it. Don't give up. Writing takes hard work and practicing will make you better. I know you want to write a whole book, but maybe start by writing short stories and having them critiqued by someone you trust. If there is an idea for a book that your become passionate about then you can start writing it. It will take time of course, but persistence will really help you. Good luck!
