You discussed the Lunar Eclipse didn't you?

There was a Lunar Eclipse on the 27th August and in Brisbane Australia, we had an incredible view of the whole eclipse. It started at 7PM and ended at about 10PM

The moon actually did turn an amazing colour red. I guess we were lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

The next, likened to this one, is due in 2011

It could not have been a whole hour, lunar and solar eclipese happen like 2-3 miuntes.
not 60 minutes. But if you did see one its cool

Hi Brisbane!

Your next total eclipse of the moon will actually be the evening of December 21, 2010.

That evening, the moon rises totally eclipsed. You won't see it at first, but about 10 minutes after sunset, the eclipse will start to end and you should suddenly see a sliver of bright moon appear just above the horizon in the southeastern sky.

The sliver of moon will gradually fatten into a crescent, then a disc with a bite out of it, until the moon leaves the earth's umbra about 8:00 p.m. Australian Eastern Time (in Queensland; 9:00 AEST in New South Wales).

You'll get another on the morning of June 16, 2011, in which totality starts at 5:22 AET, but that's just 1 hour and 15 minutes before sunrise, and the sky will rapidly brighten during the eclipse.

Your next chance of seeing from Brisbane a total eclipse of the moon against a dark sky will be around midnight on December 10-11, 2011.
