You have two trade offers:

Phillies:
You get:
J.A. Happ
Kyle Drayback (sp?) (top prospect)
Micheal Taylor (Top Prospect)

You give:
-Roy Halladay

OR

Yankees:
You get:
-Phil Hughes
-Robinson Cano

You give:
-Roy Halladay
-Vernon Wells

Seeing as how the goal is to save money I think Riccardi would do the Yankees deal in order to get rid of Vernon Wells' contract and then would probably deal Aaron Hill.

i cant beleive the phils would give up happ. dont know what theyre planning to throw, but happ could be awesome in the future. why would you trade to division rival. the yansk amy get halladay through free agency, but at lesat then you didnt shoot yourslef in the foot. halladay is too dominant, likely to continue to be that way, and it would be suicide to let him stay in your division. i'd do my best to trade him to NL. in your scenario i gotta take the phils deal cuz i already have a 2b(cano wouldnt be of use), and the prospects of phill are pretty good in your hypothetical

Scratch both of those. How bout I send Roy down to Cincinnati as a charity trade for twenty bucks. WE NEED EVERYTHING WE CAN GET! Us Reds cant catch a break.

good question. im biased because im a yankees fan, but I would go with the Yankee deal. Wells and Halladay are old(er) and expensive, so the yankees might not take it.

First one is better. More players received, less given up. The Blue Jays have a second baseman who is doing better, and I would take Drabak and Happ over Hughes any day of the week. It is not even close, either. In the Yankees deal, they are getting a good pitcher, but he has not been successful in the majors yet, and Cano is having a good season, but not as good as Aaron Hill. Plus, the Blue Jays would be giving up two players.
