Yoo-Hoo and Friends

As I said there, I honestly don't understand who this is intended for. People who want crazy cartoon antics aren't going to like the cutesy animals, and the kids who buy the toys probably aren't going to like the idea that their cuddly stuffed animal is going to turn back into a corporate exec.

Wow. I think that we need less Flava Flav and more...um...I don't really know. Why bother finding gems when the execs can just re-do the problems that caused the destruction of Earth by asking Viking Father Time to send them into the past? That would have been easier. It could have also been made as a DTV film or animated short rather than what could possibly be a long-run, depending on the future TV ratings, animated series.

A month or so again, I looked up to see what David Feiss has been doing lately, and it led me to that.
Man what a mess. I found out on Cartoon Brew that it's an adaptation of some Korean show, but this looks terrible. It goes from Feiss's trademark design and humor, and then becomes something entirely different. Those designs clash horribly, and looks like it was meant to be two completely different shows, or that Yoohoo and Friends were shoved in just to sell toys or something.

Man, The Animation Development Company (the studio behind this) is the worst. One of my favorite artists on DA made a show for them. And they kept making so many changes that it went from this to this.

The intro is so ridiculous it works.

I don't know if they're going for a straight forward green message, or its all meant to be a self-parody, but it certainly made me laugh.

I like to think that Feiss made this as some sort of joke on the executives and it went over thier heads. Of course, I have no idea if thats true or not.

Wow...just.... !!!!

It's like The Care Bears,Shirt Tales and Captain Planet on acid. This is something you see within a cartoon show. Just....HUH, WHAT?!

Yeah, between the clashing art styles and the, to make an understatement, very unusual premise, this definately looks like a jumbled mess.
But, y'know, since it does involve David Feiss, and is fairly bizarre and seemingly tongue-in-cheek, I'd be willing to give this a chance, if only for curiousity's sake.

And honestly, looking at the videos of the original show? Yeah. This seems a million times more interesting.

Yeah, I'd give this a chance, personally. It does seem kind of sad that the original concept was mangled into this, though. Then again, I've never seen the original show, so maybe it just wouldn't have worked or something.

The only thing I'm really curious is, why is this heading to Nick Jr.? If I didn't know better, I would say that something like this is something I would see on either Nick, Cartoon Network, or the Hub proper.

But I am kind of interested in seeing the final product. This could either be the most trippiest thing ever and work, or not.

Wow... now that's a weird direction to take when adapting a foreign kid's show.

Don't know how this adaptation could succeed, especially on a pre-school block. It would've made more sense to just bring over the original show, atleast from a merchandising perspective.
