Work sucked. I got off work, and was So looking forwards to going to sleep when it was cool, and then while starting my breakfast (which is my dinner) the power suddenly goes out. Come to find out there was a planned outage from 8am to 3pm that day we were not informed about. JOY. So then they are LITERALLY replacing the power pole about 20 feet from my bedroom. Which goes on for hours. It was the hottest day of the summer so far in this area. No cooling. No opening the fridge. No flushing the toilet. Weeeeeeeee!
My cat decided that today, for the first time in months, he missed his sister, my daughter, and cried by her door for a long time. Playing with the bell on the door. Making me feel sad in my sleepy weird state. I let him in the room and he hugged her backpack and was smelling it, and wouldn't let go for a long time. Even when I tried to get him to come out of the room. Even when I smacked him with a pillow to dislodge him. It was so sad. Little heart breaker.
I slept badly, maybe getting to sleep by 11am, waking up when they were chainsawing some of it for some reason, twice. It was a rocky morning.
I woke up when the power came back on at 4:13pm. The fan woke me up. Slept again for about an hour, and then it was time to start my day.
I turned it all around, and I kept my spirits up, and it all went fucking great after that. But that was a rocky morning for me to sleep in. I'm looking forwards to sleeping today, oh, so, much.
