my ex told me that since we broke up he is going to kill himself and blame it on me . he said that he is going to write a letter saying that i told him too to get me in trouble after he is gone. he is going to forge a letter tI AM SO UPSET . I AM SCARED HE IS GOING TO do this to ruin my life because he is mad. if he did this could i Go to jail . i hate how he does this to me he threatens me ... if he did what would happen. i would never want him too i NEVER WOULD TELL ANYONE TOO i am a religious person I PRAY FOR HIm but I AM SCARED he has me trapped. what would happen. he says he wnats to make my life a living hell

i need to get him help too.

if he's really saying he's going to kill himself, call his bluff and call an ambulance to take him to a mental hospital.. he'll learn real quick that saying "Im gunna kill myself" isn't the way to get what you want

he's just obviously trying to manipulate you and use your emotions to get his way. even hypothetically if he did what he said, YOU wouldn't go to jail - that's just ridiculous.

you need to get him locked up and/or get a restraining order b/c this guy sounds like a nut case who just wants to make you suffer
 
I would go to your local police station and speak to someone. Have it put in writing that this is what your ex is threatening and ask for a copy of the report. If you attend church talk to your priest. You can't help him he has to help himself and he does need help. Does he have family nearby. If so I would also talk to them and tell them your concerned about him. I would also tell your family what he is saying. Every person you tell will be a witness for you. He may just be saying this to scare you but once you have gone to the police station and talked to your family and his family if he continues tell him to go ahead if he feels the need too. Most people who are going to kill themselves don't say anything to anyone. I know. My father killed himself. I know at least 4 other people who have killed themselves and they never said anything to anyone. He is sick and he needs help but you aren't the help he needs.
 
HA! No one goes to jail for being friends w/ a suicidal person. Furthermore, of that WAS the case, dont you think a buncha folks be roaming free...cuz it wasnt thier fault...? LOL!

you cannot go to jail, but i think you should help in some way, notify the police or something. You don't want your ex dying because you didn't help hanging over you for the rest of your life.
