.... I'm eBaying my N80 .....

Fallen in like with my new(ly acquired) 6630 ... which is basically an N80 without the resolution and WiFi.
All other functionality is the same, bar the extra application button.
Plus there's more software for the more mature S60-2 platform.
Plus, the 6630's about a quarter the weight.
I can live without the cam resolution - and I've yet to watch video on my N80 (if only because getting good encoding results is such a PITA).
But I'm mainly selling it because of the inferior 900 reception.
If only it were as good as its 1800 reception - shame.
The 6630's 900 is great.
It'll be nice to have an extra 280 - 80 = UKP 200 - I'll be crying all the way to the bank.
I'm just amazed at just how similar the two phones are.
And this'll certainly tide me over to N95 days.

WoW....those don't seem to be many differences, do they?
 
Cam res - really the only thing I'll miss, but I only really photograph in Summer ... by which time, the N95'll be here.
Screen size - try and get your facts right ... they're both 35 x 41 !
Colours ? - only an issue for movie viewing - and photo viewing is what PC's are for.
OS8, OS9 - in functional terms, no difference.
WiFi - as I said, I won't miss ... phone browsing sux.
IR - what century are you living in ?
More memory - I've not had any 'out of memory' errors yet, but then I don't phone brows.
Weight - the 6630 feels a helluva lot lighter than the N80 ... Hell, even than the 6600.

I'm actually using it right now as my primary phone.. N73 and the N70 are sealed in their box..

PERFECT PHONE!! The only down is its lacking the 850 which could have been better.
 
am I the only one that thinks the 6630 is ugly and harder to handle/use than an n80? I mean just in a normal everyday ergonomic sense?

I had the 6630 for about a week and had to just get rid of it.

I am thinking of going back to v2 symbian though for the software options.
 
No disrespect, but for others who are waiting for another phone, I would highly recommend to wait it out until another phone besides the N80. Don't believe me? Or wondering why? Just check this message boards for the many complains regarding this unit.
 
only for the time being. Most of the important softwares have been updated, though. I personally don't have any use for the celltrack programs, but other than that, I think the only thing we're watiing for is FExplorer, right? What other software would you like that's not available yet?
