Yen Press has the Azumanga Daioh manga, and unfortunately, it gets a new logo, too...

I'm sorry, but...why on earth did they change the logo? It looks beyond awful and ugly.

I'm not one for nitpicking the minor details in licensing issues but even I have have to admit the new logo looks completely terrible.

Maybe if the color wasn't so bland.

Yeah, I agree about the new logo. It doesn't fit well with everything else.

Wonder if they'll be using a new translation and how it compares to ADV's.

Meh, regardless, it kinda loses the winsome charm and the blue clashes with the reddish fall uniforms the girls are wearing.

Although that reminRAB me that i have to finish this manga...

In red it would've worked.

Oh well, I can get behind this as a reissue, especially if it's got Azuma's revised art and a fresh translation - that's new content, and something I'd probably double dip on (like I did with the Dark Horse Clover omnibus reissue.) I might even lay out for the nice library binding.

No, it still looks strange, it only looks a little bit better, but the lettering makes it look like it takes place in the future.

...And that the characters are robots.

Maybe it's because I'm apparently the only one who escaped Azumanga's voodoo, but I don't see much of a problem. Yes, changes are bad/annoying and it's not the most distinct logo ever but hardly terrible. I clicked the link expecting something really half arsed and got something that was simple and stylish.

Call me when the entire product is a mess like Tokyopop puts out.

I agree. It's not a terrible logo. Different, but not terrible. And, I like the blue coloring.

Hey, I enjoyed reading through Love Hina. Still want to get the light novels - maybe next week. And, I'm anticipating their release of Deadman Wonderland.

They've had the rights since July and now people care....

I think the new logo's fine. Plus its the inside material that matters not the outside.

Well, I'm back after my "internet hiatus" (I didn't want to spend the sacred holiday of "Xmas" surfing the net all the time...).

I clicked on the website, and there's conflicting information. The back cover says "T", but page says "OT". Can anyone say which is correct? Moreover, isn't this manga supposed to be "harmless" for the most part (or is that just the anime)?

Also, a related question. Does Chiyo do the "tongue twister" bit in the manga like in the anime (where she has trouble with "basu gasu bakuhatsu")?
