dance class...help? So years ago when i was in high school I plopped down hard on a wooden futon frame and my tailbone was in pain for...it felt like forever, maybe quite a few months to a year. I never saw a doctor or asked around (it just didn't occur to me, i felt like i just had to wait it out because that's what anyone would tell me) so i just let it go. I've noticed since i started taking dance class that if i put pressure on it, it hurts. No one else seems to have this problem. I noticed when we did an exercise where we sat down with out legs out ahead of us, kept leaning back without laying on the ground at the same time as raising our legs high a few inches off the ground. So all of our natural pressure would be on the butt/tailbone. No one seemed to have issues with this but it really hurt my tailbone. Could it be due to the old tailbone thing? And what does it mean, what could have happened to my tailbone and can i do anything about it now? If not, then what can i do to reduce pain when i need to put pressure on it for something? Just..what could it have been and what can i do?
