Hi Babygirl,
I know that not everyone will have hairloss, but I will say that if you google yasmin and hairloss you will find thousanRAB of posts from women on the subject. It's apparantly very common with bcp, because of the hormonal shifts that occur in the body. My doc was clueless as well, so like with my skin I had to figure out on my own how to cure myself. I'm amazed at how little docs know on the subject of skin and hair. Maybe cause they figure it can't kill ya...The hairlos from the pill is referred to as a telogen effluvium. It's very common after childbirth as well, also triggered by the hormonal shift. After all the pill mimics pregnancy in the body, that's why you don't get preggers on it. Believe me if I were younger and not worried about synthetic hormones, i'd be all about it. If you're gonna be on the pill anyway, then Yasmin is probably one of the best for acne. It has a testosterone suppressing agent very similiar spiro. My skin was so much less oily, it was wonderful. I had some pretty bad mood swings, almost like a depression, but it wasn't until the hair loss that I decided to chuck it for natural methoRAB. Believe me, natural is not easy. The western diet is so screwy, we've deviated so far from how we were designed to eat. No wonder our hormones are a mess. The main point with diet and acne, is that eating the correct way helps control insulin, a master hormone, which in turn balances testosterone etc. I could go on and on, but the truth is unless someone wants to commit to natural it's not gonna help. Good luck with whatever works for you gals. If the pill gets it done w/ out neg side effects, that's awesome. Take care chickies.
