yamaha warrior problems?

i got an 87 yamaha warrior when i start it it starts well but it only runs for like 30 sec-1 min . then sometime i am able to start it again and usually i cant when it does start it runs for like 10- 15 sec. it will do the same things for like 4 hours then it will start up and do the process over again. i cleaned the carberator , new sparke plug and new battery. what do i do to make this thng run i gt a trip coming up in little over a week and i need your help fast. thanks
 
get a cheap compression gauge, and check this first. is the fuel new (clean) how bout the fuel filt. too many varriables! Stuck choke? check the compression, fuel, filt, poss. bad coil/cdi. take another bike on the trip if your not sure.
