Yamaha warrior 350 Neutral problem?

I bought a 2002 warrior and not only does the neutral light not work but i cant ever put it in neutral. i start it up and you'd think it was in neutral but once you start to let go of the clutch it bogs down and starts going. anyone know how i can put it in neutral or where to find a neutral light? its one down and 5 up but you dont even have to step down on it because its already in first. its very inconvenient. i shift up 6 gears and down 6 gears i try everything but its always in first
