Yamaha Virago spark plug?

I have a 1996 Yamaha Virago 750 and about 3 weeks ago I decided to take it on a ride. It was in storage since the beginning of December. And it started up fine and I went to my friends house, as I was waiting for him the bike was idlling and it started to run on one cylinder. The spark plug to the front cylinder was getting no spark. So I went and got new plugs. Everything was fine. Then today when I started it up it was running on one cylinder again and now it was the rear cylinder that wasn't working. So I switched the plugs around and concluded that it was the one spark plug. But my question how could the one spark plug go bad in such little time. If this could help it has cobra exhausts and a K and N air filter and carbs were rejetted, just thought I should mention it. Is it the cold weather? No idea. Please help!

it could be a coincidence that both of the spark plugs failed with in a matter of a day.

if your bike continues to do this, then you might want to check the plug gap and see if there with in the specs.

you could also check your stator,regulator/rectifier,and ignition coils with the multimeter to see if there getting the proper volts.

best of luck
