Yamaha Starting Problem?

I have a dt 125 R 2-stroke bike, which would start for around 2-3 seconds then die out and not start again for a while, it was running earlier on today . does anyone have any ideas what could be my problem, thanks in advance for any answers...
 
It sounds like a fowled spark plug,try putting a new plug in it and then trying it,if this doesn't work it would appear you need to pull the carb off and clean/adjust it.
