Is there another way to set the timing other than with a dial indicator that screws down in the combustion chamber? The bike has been sitting for 15 years and I cleaned the carbs and put new plugs in it and it fired right up but I get it out on the highway and after i hit 7000 rpms sometimes it just takes off and burries the tach. Even pulling the spark plug wires won't kill it. Would carbon build up cause this?
