Previously i make my music with my Yamaha keyboard and my old Laptop easily, they just need to connect with a cable, and set the recording to "line-in" that's all.
After purchased my new laptop there's no more "line-in" plug for me! so i bought the YAMAHA USB-MIDI INTERFACE UX16 (midi in-out cable connecting my keyboard and laptop)
But now i really don't know what to do.. I using SONAR 8 now (had tried many audio softwares but cant find a solution..)
I've tried whole night and i cant input anything i play on the yamaha keyboard into computer, i followed the user guide but it doesn't help...
I can't really know how to describe my problem all i want is just record everything i played and make some music just that simple.... I even use Audacity, Adobe Audition but same, tried every options but my laptop just keep my keyboard away..
Do i need to press anything on the keyboard? Something "output" option?
Anyone can advice what should i do, step by step, or what shud i try..
