Yamaha Big Bear Problem?

I have a 2004 Yamaha Big Bear 400 4x4. It starts right up but won't stay running. I pull the choke out and it will run at a high rpm but as soon as the push the choke back in it die unless I have the throttle open alot. It also backfires through the carb before it dies. I tryed adjusting the idle and cleaning the carb. If anyone has a idea of what to try next plz let me know asap. Thanks
 
First, get a manual online or hard copy,you need the specs. to do everything on your quad and even off the best forum you are only getting an idea based on the information you have given. I know one thing from you thread you are running lean, there is two adjusting screws on almost every YAMAHA quads carb. you need the specs. to set it correctly. GOOD LUCK....GREASY.
