Yamaha BB-414 or Fender bass?

The Yamaha BB-414 is pretty much a fender deluze p-bass with a master volume and tone and a 3-way switch. If anybody knows anything about both of these basses, could you give me a reccomendation on whether to get the Yamaha or a jazz or p-bass?
 
That is a matter of preference and style.
I prefer the Fender Jazz over the Yamaha.
I played an Alembic and a Vox, both were great and both had their own sound and qualities.
Hard to find a decent Vox these days, but they can be had.
Alembics are just ultimate in Jazz style.
