Yamaha 25 2 stroke popping sound when starting ?

last week it was working fine , yesterday I replaced the pull cord. And now it wont start. The most I can get out of it is a bang, a small explosion and a tiny amount of exhaust fumes. Then it dies. whats going on here ? too much oil ? too lean mixture ? I have taken out the spark plugs and given them a good lean but it didnt help
 
I would recamend checking the carb to see if there is a slug of dirt in the carbarater, this could cause a starvation of gas! if this is not the problem i would try checking the gas line to make sure it is not pinched or put into a twist that can cause only a small amount of fuel to get threw!
