Yamaha 1980 DT250 Fuel Tank Problems?

if its not rusted through all the way you can put a half gallon of 50/50 mixture of gas and tranny fluid in it with a hand full of BB's. shake the livin crap out of it then take a break.rest for a bit then shake the crap out of it again.lol empty, rinse good with clean gas and carb cleaner.then u shouldnt have any problems with it.ive done this to atleast 15 tanks. good luck!let me know how it goes.
 
I have a Yahama 1980 DT250 motorbike with a fuel tank but its full of rust can i fix it or would i have to replace it?

Radiator repair shops will clean and seal the tank for about $100
