Yamaha 150 keeps clogging with sea weed?

We have a 20' PathFinder with a 150 Yamaha, on the west cost of Fla. When we go out, there is always sea weeds floating on the surface. We constantly have to stop, put in reverse to dislodge the sea weed. We have the same problem with our 40 Yamaha on our small alumn. boat. Does anyone with a Yamaha have this same problem? Is it the design of the lower unit? Does any one have a fix?

We never had this problem with our Mercury Engines...

Thanks in advance...

Maybe you should avoid the sea weed, I know many fisherman will troll through the sea weed as they believe fish are cooling under there, which is correct, but guide your boat around the sea weed and let the fishing lines only go through it, but no catch, you are gonna have to reel them in to remove weed from the hooks !
