yahoo mail on iphone but not mac?

My primary email account is @yahoo, and I have it set up on my iPhone. My issue is I recently bought a macbook pro and I cannot sync my yahoo account with Mail. Am I doing something wrong with the settings perhaps or can it just not be done? I would have thought seeing as they are both Apple products it should be possible.. If it is what are all the correct settings to make it happen!?

ps I have the free yahoo account, I haven't paid for anything?
