YA Photography section - is it particularly prone to 'thumbers'?

I've noted that even excellent, well considered answers from a wide variety of contributors are habitually thumbed down here, which seems to happen a lot.

Why do you think these thumbers hang out here and what would you like to say to the little photo section trolls?

To misquote Lawrence Hope slightly: they are less than the dust beneath my chariot wheel, less than the weed which grows beside my door.

There are 6.75 billion people on this planet, about half of them have a camera or access to one. Half of those can find the 'on' button. Half of those can point it and shot. Half of those are decent in usage. Half of those are on YA Answers- Photography.
AND about 1/50 of them know a good shot from an anus.

Thumbs down to the thumb sucking trolls!

They used to bother me. Now I just laugh them off.

At least I'm not getting reported.

When the so-called thumbers wander into this question I am likely to get some more thumbs down but I am going to say it anyway.

I get more thumbs down if I say anything resembling the idea that another manufacturer might be almost as good as Nikon or Canon. There are a lot of immature DSLR owners out there that put more stake in what brand their camera is than what it does for them. Apparently, they think that everyone should own the same brand and maybe even the same model camera. They don't realize that if either Nikon or Canon were the only DSLR manufacturer that there would be no competition and prices would be outrageous.
