Cause teachers think it'll get stuck on the carpet/you'll stick it under the desks/be annoying people by blowing bubbles/etc.

However in my school it's pretty much allowed and it never gets stuck on the carpet or anything. There was gum stuck under a desk once though.

I think it is cause the teachers don't won't trash, and gum on the bottom of the desk. We can at my school, well actrually it is teachers chioce, I can except for choir and Gym. But thats so I doesn't effect our singing, or we don't choke on it when we fall. Dumb reasons to me

some people put the used gum underneath the desk top (yuck!) and spit it on the floors and sidewalk and it is hard to get up if it is dry. sorry, my school use to be like that but we can chew cum now...so sorry...i am a chewing gum addict!
