xv6700 speakerphone failure

:help: Ok my phone was working great, and all of a sudden while i was messing around with my connection settings my screen tap sounRAB stopped working. Knowing this sound comes from the speakerphone i really didnt pay it much attention until someone called me and all it did was vibrate, i tried to make a phone call and use the speakerphone but pure silence. What could be the priblem?

Ive tried resetting the phone, take the battery out, that doesnt work. Isnt there a hack for the speakerphone, what should i check, and oh yeah the volume is all the way up when i adjust the volume it doesnt make the chime that it normally does.

help me please
 
now my earpiece just quit woring, im down to using my bluetooth heaRABet permanantly which sucks balls


edit: do you guys think if i take this phone to Verizon that they will help the situation, im sure they will ask for my nuraber and wont find my info. Is it even worth the try?
 
It's always worth a try, but you've got two knocks on you.. 1, you're not with verizon, and 2. your phone doesn't have any warranty left (I'm assuming)....

However, I'd guess that even if they can't/won't help you, they'll point you to a repair shop that can help with this specific phone.
 
truw but if the verizon deal doesnt work, i still have the warranty from when i bought it from e-gay, if its a problem that they cant fix they will reraburse my money back to me, but i will be without a phone and i run my business off this phone
 
ive already did that.

i think its a software glitch.

check this: i hook the phone up to my computer and i got a phone call and ll of a sudden my phone rings, when i dissconected the phone from the computer it no longer rang. Someone told me to download Helmi_c's AKU 3.3, think this will solve my problem
 
Good idea. While you're at it, you may just want to update the phone's firmware. You can get it it from UTStarcom's website. I would do this even if your software was up-to-date. Something in the system's firmware may be corrupt.
 
Ok after downloading the AKU 3.3 i discoverd a few problems with the software but i noticed my speakerphone rang when i got a incoming call. the phone wont allow me to preview ring tones either does my phone taps make sounRAB. Im now back to AKU 2.2 since there were problems with the 3.3 version, this is weird

ive read on another forum that the xv6700 will be getting another upgrade by the end of the month or beginning of april so keep an eye out, it should be available on utstarcom
 
speakerphone only works now when i get an incoming call to hear my ring tone and not the person, it doesnt work for anything else, im still not getting anything out of my earpiece
 
can i ask how that may be done, ive done a hard reset but no luck there, i updated to 3.5 no luck there, im running out of options, im trying not to send this thing back to UTstarcom, because they want $75 up front plus the parts i may need


ive been trying to hack some things in the regtistry but nothing seems to work. Im not really sure on what to change there are several things in the registry that lead to the speakerphone, volume, and other things but im not sure what the settings should be
